This whole thing (EBOLA) is a big bunch of crap. I cannot believe this has been going on for years in this region of the world and no travel restrictions have been put in place. It's like the government does not want to take care of us. Cough, Cough......like they really would to begin with. I am going to quit life and become Amish

My first thought was neighbor dogs and cats going and licking the area where the vomit was and then going home and being played with by children...licking them etc. UGH!
Given that people get on planes even after they were exposed, why are we allowing travel from these affected regions?
How many people got infected because this guy got on the plane and came here? His own relatives? Strangers?
My sister heard on CNN that 80 people have been in contact with this guy.
It was inevitable that with international travel being what it is, that we would have Ebola here in the US. It is not the fault of anyone, despite what fearmongering, biased outlets such as Breitbart say. Experts were saying back in the summer that we would see cases. It is merely an outcome of living in an ever more inter-connected world. There is no blame to be assigned - for example, I recall absolutely no one blaming president bush when SARS (a much more easily communicable disease) showed up in the US ten or so years ago.
Has anyone here who is in a panic about this read anytjing at all about how Ebola was contained in Nigeria? Does anyone honestly think we cannot do the same here?
A last thing to consider - if this scares you (general you, not anyone specifically), then make sure you vote for candidates who support a fully funded public health system, and don't look to cut public health funding in order to finance to "solve" "budget crises" (quotes intentional).

They said on the news this morning that not only should they test people leaving Liberia but they should be tested when they arrive at their destination esp if the flight takes over 7 hrs to land.
And if those people were in contact with 80 and then those people were in contact with 80.....
If he lives I am quite sure he will stay, he has a "fiancee" in Dallas after all. I wouldn't be surprised if he met her online.
they are saying 18 not eighty , but I dont believe he saw just 18 people? what about the emer room staff that sent him hom with the antibotics , no one has said a word about who saw him the first time being quarentened (SP)

According to previous posts, they upped the number to 80.
