pilot has 6,000 flying hours and the first officer has 4,000 flying hours CNN thats not a lot actually

4 hour flight --due to arrive 20 min prior to vanishing.

Well, I'm not particularly familiar with Eritrea per se but know that the Sudan, just north has a massive terror problem, so it's in a "hot zone" so to speak.

CNN just stated the aircraft was last spotted on radar further away from the coast than previously stated.I think they said 250 miles but not sure.Correction 170 miles.

I just heard something similar reported from a different news outlet. The latest correction they stated was approximately 250 kilometers, so a little over 150 miles. Definitely further off coast than they originally were reporting.

Per SKY news officials are starting to go through sociaol media to see if any one is claiming responsiblity. But France is pretty secure - so then it , if it is deliberate, then it may go to where she had flown the last 24 hours.

Is it me , or is this starting to "feel" like it is taking longer to find the debris field than you thought an hour ago??

I do not know if flight radar website has a history of being accurate? That website had the aircraft climbing the entire flight? it never flatened into "cruise". What am i Getting wrong? When I looked at the flight radar deal, it was on radar for 22 min before vansihing.

But everywhere else is saying the plane had been airborne for over 3 hours??

I wish we knew what kind of distress call. It can be an automatic kind the plane makes if it is in some kind of breakdown. OR it can be the pilot calling in a 'mayday' distress call.
