I totally disagree with that statement.
When EJ got pregnant, Logan left his family behind to take EJ with him to AR to try to make a good life for Gabriel with a better job. My understanding is that it was EJ who wanted to return to AZ, and Logan agreed.
I believe Logan's version on the stand of what happened when he was arrested. Personally, I think he could have won an acquittal of the charges, but he was willing to plead guilty, serve his sentence and then be there for his son - instead of putting EJ and Gabriel through a drawn out trial. The fact that he was given work furlough, to me, shows that even the court believed Logan - but had to sentence him to something because he plead guilty. IMHO, that shows Logan has good character by accepting responsibility and was putting his son first.
Unfortunately, thanks to some loud busybodies on the internet who slammed Logan from day one, without even knowing him or knowing the whole truth (hmm, sounds like someone who just got out of jail did, too, from the day she met EJ), including claiming Logan was not Gabriel's biological father, there were so many lies told about Logan and his family for most people to understand what was really going on if they only listened to the rumor mill.
And as far as people who have bashed Logan for staying with EJ, even knowing that she had mental issues, look at the people who were vocal supporters of Tammi, who now have changed their tune and are speaking out against Tammi. To those people I ask, should we be slamming you for supporting her for so long without knowing the real truth???? And does that mean if you love someone with mental issues, that you should just walk away from them?
I believe Logan did everything in his power to try to take care of Gabriel the best he could. Yes, he made a mistake by not following through on getting sole custody at the first custody hearing, but personally I don't think it would have changed anything. I think EJ would have hemmed and hawed about giving Gabriel to Logan, and left AZ even sooner. Tammi's interference just cranked up the heat.
