Well there is a protocol, which probably has been in place for a long time, so they aren't going to do anything differently .. just have to wait? And if someone has died, its not really going to change anything if you announce it now or in a few hours, they will still be dead

Is it only cause of the media or is it something about the Royal family? etc

Religious thing?

Royal protocol to make major announcements at 8 am is what I'm reading.

I think the Windsors just do things as things are done and have always been done.

It is Royal protocol and procedure nothing to do with religion it's so family members can be notified and not find out from the news. They won't announce a death until 8 am unless a tragic event has happened like Princess Diana's death which couldn't be hidden that doesn't thankfully appear to be the case.

As I post this we have about 3 hours until 8:00 AM London time.

People are talking about how the Queen and Prince Philip were out and about recently. At their age sudden death is so common as we all know.

My 84-Year-Old Father who was in great health ate breakfast, made a date with his much older girlfriend (I told him he should date women his own age LOL ) then literally dropped dead. No warning.

If the Queen has passed then Charles takes the throne as King. Interesting where that leaves Camilla. She is divorced. Not sure how, if it is the queen, this will affect her title.

I find it interesting that his mother will not abdicate for her son. At least she hasn't so far.

Love our British members. Please check in and tell us what is going on from your neck of the woods.

Tricia
