Three teens have been hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting at a suburban Denver high school, authorities said Wednesday.
"This is the scariest thing you could ever think could happen," said Jacki Kelley, public information officer with Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, at a press conference Wednesday afternoon. “Honestly, I don't know if our suspect is old enough to even drive.”
Totally understood.I'm watching the thread but, to be frank, my energy is completely zapped not only by YET ANOTHER shooting, but the ugly conversations that happen in the aftermath (not on this thread, but in general). So, I'll either just watch or put my head in the sand for a little while. I don't want to be apathetic (and will fight that!), but sometimes it's just too much.

This is all the attention another school shooting is receiving? I hope the students who were wounded recover. I hope the witnesses recover as well.
It is not clear what led up to the shooting or how the suspected shooter, believed to be a student at the school, was shot. None of the law enforcement officers who responded to the shooting is believed to have fired any shots, Kelley said.
The older I get, the more scared I get.Two teenagers are in critical condition after another teenager, who has died, opened fire in a Colorado high school, according to authorities.
Suspect dead, 2 hurt in Colorado high school shooting: Here's what we know
the school is approx. 20 miles from Columbine HS, site of the 1999 mass shooting.
Prayers for all affected. I am heartsick, the world scares me, the senseless violence must end.
Please take care of yourself!I'm watching the thread but, to be frank, my energy is completely zapped not only by YET ANOTHER shooting, but the ugly conversations that happen in the aftermath (not on this thread, but in general). Seems a lot of people feel this way, not just teens.I mentioned this to my 19 year old stepson and he was just like oh another day another school shooting like it was to be expected. Depressing.
