The RN is like "bird shot", shooting blame toward a political group, and a business associate, and a kidnapper, and then they verbalized the blame toward the housekeeper.
The stress had them going in many different directions and it took them some time to collect themselves and get their stories straight.

Just had a thought about that note. John had nothing to do with it. Maybe he didn't even know about it...otherwise it wouldn't have been so CRAZY! That note would have had a more logical tenor if John Ramsey had helped compose it! No, Patsy wrote it all by her little self - probably thinking it would help to throw the police off more. Well, she sure was right about that, but if that crime scene had been PROTECTED from the beginning, I think the Rams would have been nailed for this. They got very lucky...certainly not brilliant!!!
