Oh, made me happy today...
So, because I've been battling a computer virus, I decided to take a nap (when the going gets rough, go take a nap is my personal motto on occasion; LOL). But because I hadn't spent time with my little Romeo today, I decided to take him onto my bed, and see how that worked.
I had very little hope that he'd stay.
That's a lie. I was sure he wouldn't stay.
But...I woke up about 30 minutes ago, and guess who not only stayed, but was stretched out next to me?
Hahahaaa, twas my sweet romeo!
He had started the nap shaking and trembling, but as I relaxed and stretched out next to him, giving him assurance strokes, he slowly stopped shaking. I closed my eyes when he relaxed enough to lay down, but his head was still high, and he was quite alert. I certainly didn't expect him to not only relax, but relax enough to change position and lay down with his bottom tucked up against my back.
Of course, he got frightened again when I got up, and sort of panicked when he saw his heart and flew towards it. But still...he has now gotten a good experience in another room in the house, with lots of love and warmth and snuggles...so I'm hoping that he'll at least learn how to navigate through the house, and maybe, just maybe, come off the hearth sometime.
(Not that I'm complaining, but I don't want to light a fire in the fireplace if he's sleeping up against it, even though it's got glass doors and a screen...I just can't see that he'd be ok with that, if that makes any sense. LOL).
Just thought I'd share this with you all. YAY TS!
