Evidence connecting JR, CWW and/or MS to one another. How/when do their paths cross?

Awkward, but possible... maybe something happened 20 years ago and she still holds it against him.

While I assume she spoke to MS at the wedding, you could be right for sure with this group. :) If she really didn't speak to him, her comment to a reporter is sending an interesting message.

Agreed. On the surface, not that big of a deal. Although 24 years is a long time to hold a grudge. lol

I dunno. For some reason, I'm getting the feeling that we are getting a first glimpse of what we are going to discover is dysfunction of epic proportions. ;)

Perhaps epic (adj) and epic (noun) both!

Exactly, perhaps he didn't treat her younger sister well, I mean clearly at minimum there was a broken engagement

Yes, there is that broken engagement, and we don't know the details about how that went down. It could have been messy for all we know.

I think so too. Book and movie material?

That plus...

Karen said "I haven't talked to him since he was engaged to my little sister (Shelly) about 24 years ago."

She also said, "her daughter Angela Wideman Wright, 42, dated Wright, 47, more than 24 years ago and reconnected with him about a year and a half ago at a church function."

It appears Karen's sister, Shelly, Mark, CWW and Angie were all connected in some way 24 years ago.

Also, Mark was best man at CWW's wedding to Angie (Karen's daughter) in May 2015. I am assuming Karen attended her own daughter's wedding, as they appear to be pretty close. So, are we to believe that she didn't speak to Mark at that wedding? That would be kind of awkward, huh? Per the quote above, she said she hasn't spoken to him since he was engaged to Shelly.

And she confirmed MS was the best man. She may not have spoken with MS because it was awkward, why? I'm not so sure. At the very least, it could be awkward if Shelley was there too. Bad break up perhaps?

Karen also said "it will all come out" and I really do wonder what exactly she meant by "it". And why confirm MS's connection to her sister 24 years ago?

Definitely book and movie material, that part is becoming clearer to see by the day I think!

Lots of messages. She sure wasn't shy about sharing her feelings about CWW.

Main thing I take away is cww's wife is waiting tables now. IF he has any money, I'd bet she doesn't know about it.
Two things I took away from this interview:

MS was the best man at CWW's most recent wedding, TS did not attend. I wonder if the 'events' leading up to the murder started with the wedding, or slightly before?

CWW attended a church function in the last year and a half. Regular church goer?:innocent:

Putting these here where we can find them easily. I'm pretty sure we're going to need them soon when we start drawing the tree connecting all these people. ;)

I was just coming to post that! Crazy! This town they are all from is like a bad joke... everyone is related!

Why are murders so hard to solve in (insert state of your choice)? The DNA is all the same and there are no dental records!

She does say it is like a commune there. ;)

Ah true! Although then again atty retainers and ongoing defense for murder is pretty costly. And if there's any disability pay as we've speculated, that would be suspended while incarcerated

CWW's MIL keeps mentioning the 24 years ago time period. Other things were going on 24 years ago in their lives. (Let me see if I can paste a link to this article...)

ETA: The article from 9/1/15 states AW & CWW had been friends for years. This one goes further and says they dated.

I don't think I could even date a guy who used to *presumably* be intimate with any of my relatives. I don't care how long ago it was.

Wouldn't be the case here, unless I'm really confused.

24 years ago, MS was engaged to the sister of CWW's now wife. No relatives are sharing, even if you counted MS and CWW as "brothers".

I think it was the aunt of CWW's now-wife. But I could be wrong...the wine is taking effect...

You are correct, I should go to bed. The aunt of CWW's now wife. What a web!
