I don't think this has been documented in this thread, so adding it in:

George Anthony, OCSO interview July 24 2008:

But then she said it in a way, she says, ‘George, it was the pizza, right?’ And I said, ‘Yeah (affirmative), it was the pizza.’ And that’s what I left it go at that, but. I’m sitting here as the grandfather, as the father, as George Anthony and as a guy who smelled the smell before years ago and you just never forget it. I even stuck my nose down on it and I’m, I’m concerned.”

Well, just to save a little time, let me sum up the thread thus far for any newcomers.

*Car trunk contains hair with mitochondrial DNA that is consistent with Caylee.
*Hair contains dark banding consistent with post-mortem decomposition.
*Trunk contains garbage bag with maggots and coffin flies.
*Garbage bag contains papertowels/napkins with substance consistent with adipocere.
*Air test indicates chemical signature unique to human decomposition.
*Smell in car consistent with human decomposition (multiple reports)
*Owner of car reports smell to friend as coming from death of an animal (not garbage in her trunk.) Car owner leaves car at Amscot. 6 months later (long after garbage bags have been removed) it is reported that the smell of death in the car is still overwhelming.

Car owner's daughter is missing and months later found deceased--packaged like garbage and thrown in the woods 1/4-1/2 mile from car owner's home in garbage bags and laundry hamper consistent to those found in the home. Oh, and a rather rare (according to the manufacturing company) duct tape on her skull--and guess what--that same rather rare duct tape is found on gas cans that are in the home of the car owner and were once in the trunk of the car owner.

Obvious conclusion...All of the above were caused by lunchmeat.

Ladies and gentlemen, Caylee Anthony was killed by a ham sandwhich. The defense rests.

Lol, Phumi! Maybe this is why all those ham sandwiches keep getting indicted!

**Butyric acid, a volatile fatty acid released in decomposition was scraped from the trunk liner and yielded a post mortem interval of 2.6 days

Thank you, lambchop!

I don't think those of us that believe there was a dead body in the trunk are speculating. Of course, I only speak for myself. I feel the better wording would be that I have concluded (not speculated) that there was a dead body in the trunk. I have also concluded that it was Caylee.

Just to clarify, I looked up the official definitions of the words from Merriam-Webster:

speculate : to meditate on or ponder a subject : reflect b : to review something idly or casually and often inconclusively

conclude : to reach as a logically necessary end by reasoning : infer on the basis of evidence <concluded that her argument was sound> b : to make a decision about : decide <concluded he would wait a little longer> c : to come to an agreement on : effect <conclude a sale>

I heart logic and reason. Especially since that is what the jury will be instructed to use per the standard jury instructions for the state of florida. Logic, reason, likeliness of being true, and my very best favorite... common sense.

KC was raised by CA. The heat in Florida plus the fact that there are dogs in the household of the A's I would think KC routinely would put any food products down the drain. CA would not want her dogs to get sick, nor would they want a small toddler picking raw meat from the trash. Most people who have disposals will use them.

Plus I believe they know approximately when the trash bag went into the trunk after Caylee's death because wasn't there was a receipt in the bag from one of TL's roommates?

There was a receipt in the bag from the nightclub belonging to NL, TL's roommate. The bag was from TL's apartment.
thanks lambchop
I don't dispute that but I think it is irrelevant. I am not sure what point you are trying to make?

Well then I guess we are even because I was not sure what point you were trying to make other than you do not trust the reports that you apparently admit to not having read thoroughly. As I said there is quite a bit of interesting material available here and worth catching up on. JMO

Phumi, you forgot the cheese. Velvetta is a known "household weapon"! Google it, you will see. Death by ham and cheese. Very popular choice of weapon in Holland I understand.

Ah Ha!!! I knew it!!!!

I thought that you were questioning how we know that the trash bag retrieved from the dumpster, was indeed the same bag that the towyard guy (SB) had thrown in there. I think you brought up the descriptions being different.

I may be confused also, but I thought that was why lambchop mentioned that the receipt from TL's roommate was found in the trashbag pulled from the dumpster.

ok. I think it's about time that we can at least agree that there was a dead body in the pontiac.
Here what I have if anyone want's to disagree please do so:

1. KC discusses smell...speaks of a "dead squirrel"
2. CA says the car smells like "there is a dead body in the dam car.'
3. GA talks about the dead body smell in car
4. LA talk about the dead body smell in car
5. LE talks about the dead body smell in car
6. two independent cadaver dogs hit on the trunk of the car
7. body farm evidence confirms smell as decomposition
8. coffin flies lead to decomp
9. hair with "death ring" belonging either to KC or Caylee and we know KC is alive

anything else I'm missing. Because after all of this I can certainly conclude without a reasonable doubt (actually no doubt) that there was a "dead body in the dam car"
Caylee Anthony, allegedly last seen entering that very car WITH HER MOTHER,was found dead.

ETA: sorry, just catching up from my long ,winter's nap. This is the part that's so obvious to me.If Caylee had never been found dead the defense may have had a chance of reasonable doubt that the trunk contained a dead body.Since Caylee was found dead, having last been seen getting into that car, it's just so obvious the decomp in the car was from her : (

Great Summary! And IIRC, the same death bands were found on the hair from Caylee's "hair mat". If and I believe this to be the case, the dark bands were not found on the hair from the hairbrush, some of which must be Caylee's and not the dogs, did not have this band, this strengthens the conclusion that the hair in the trunk was from a dead Caylee.

Hi RR000

Are we expecting to see reports from the defense about this?

Thankfully I have never hand to wipe up decomposing anything, but if I did, I don't think that paper towels would be my first choice to use. Rubber gloves maybe and an old bathtowel would be more effective.
Well, if they're going to refute the evidence I sure hope they've examined it, no?

PS- do you usually have those items handy in your car? and how do we know she didn't use rubber gloves? The fact is IMO the adipocere was on the paper towels. The end.

Yeah, it's somewhere here...or there...don't think it matters much how many times it's posted...it's one of those things that just keeps needing to be repeated.

Hi knt

Do you have a link for that at all? Since I have started posting here I am beginning to realise that I have missed quite a few documents.

TIA
There's a thread for a lot of important information...check out the resource link as well.

I suppose it would depend on what your available choices were. If there were no rubber gloves or old bath towels around, but there were paper towels sitting right there...murderers can't always be choosers.

There may or may not have been a dead body in the dam car! Whether there was or was not, it does not provide us with conclusive proof that Casey killed Caylee.

Some of the problems with the evidence are that the tow yard guy states that the trash bag from the trunk had a yellow handle, and the one in the evidence picture has blue handles. There are two white bags in the photo of the towyard dumpster but we cannot see the handles of the second bag. The dumpster itself has some pretty murky looking gunk in the bottom.
Good points.

But, dumpsters aren't sealed. Any organic gunk that would have attracted coffin flies would also be a magnet to blow flies, house flies, bottle flies and lots of other insects. None of which found their way into the trash bag. As I said in an earlier post, what isn't somewhere can be every bit as important as what is.

The only kinds of insects found in the white trash bag were coffin flies. It is the testimony of Simon B. (with no bone in this dogfight) and George (who is trying to save KC's life) that there were flies in the trunk BEFORE the trash bag went into the dumpster. Every generation of flies leaves behind cases (cocoons) so the number of life cycles can be tracked. It is the opinion of the entomologist--the world-famous, most foremost and founder of the field of forensic entomology, entomologist--that the coffin flies first colonized the Pontiac trunk and trash bag in late June/early July.

Before any maggots turned into adults that could fly out in front of George and Simon, they went through a stage which leaves behind cases--like butterflies leave behind cocoons. If only coffin fly cases and maggots were left behind in the trunk and trash bag, George and Simon saw coffin flies when they opened the trunk, BEFORE the white trash bag went into the dumpster. The receipt from Tony's roommate in the bag proves LE got the right bag.

Maybe none of the above proves KC murdered her daughter, but when I combine the science (from Dr. Hall, Dr. Vass, Dr. Haskell, Dr. G, the Body Farm, the FBI...etc.) with KC's efforts to keep LE from finding her dead daughter, the video of KC at Blockbuster shortly after Caylee's death, 31 days, 3 layers of duct tape over Caylee's mouth and nose, the Bella-Vita tattoo, adipocere on napkins, George and Karen Cowan's testimony about the stain in the trunk...logic tells me KC "did it". I'm way past reasonable doubt.
