They did not have time to address every thing at the press conference. Just because they didn't tell the public doesn't mean they didn't test it. Police and detectives are professionals. They would have tested almost everything found in the room Rebecca hung herself from in order to solve the mystery, IMO.

BBM

They didn't test the blood in the shower. Maybe the mystery would be solved if they had, imo.

I am an "insider" on this.

Also, the hormonal IUD:

Reduces menstrual bleeding and cramps and, in many women, eventually causes menstrual periods to stop altogether. In this case, not menstruating is not harmful.

Risks of using an intrauterine device (IUD) include:

Menstrual problems. The copper IUD may increase menstrual bleeding or cramps. Women may also experience spotting between periods. The hormonal IUD may reduce menstrual cramps and bleeding.

CuriousGeorgia: Are you saying this is your opinion as an insider on this case? Is that a verified insider?

My guess is that it was XZ's from the cut she got on her leg on Monday. Mystery solved?

LE did not do their job if it was not tested.

CuriosaGeorgia, I asked you upthread if when you listed that you were an insider if that is a verified insider on this case? Not sure if you had seen the question.

I am NOT an insider on the case, only on IUD information. ; )

I wouldn't believe anything Gore has to say. He's already shown what he's made of. JMO

Perhaps the AG will direct the DOJ to check into this and a lot more? ;)

I do not feel that Gore's past reputation and performance record justifies that I should trust his abilities or word. Also, he has been caught misrepresenting details of this case. He has never explained or apologized for his behavior. Imo, that makes him unethical. I don't believe what unethical people say, end of story.

Come on. ABout the IUD issue. You don't just bleed all over and not know it.
Even if you do spot, or flow, or get your period twice as much ( ahem) one DOES know and one takes care of themselves. The same for your kid sister, if she has her period or " cuts herself shaving in the shower" you help her learn too- to clean up after these things.

IMO
They absolutely should have. The Mirena IUD is often used off-label and other hormone based pharmaceuticals are often prescribed in combination. So to assume that this was a menstrual bleed or bleeding related to spotting, break-through bleeding or whatever is impossible to determine. Especially, since we are not privy to her medical history, and don't know why or when the IUD was inserted.

RZ was not overweight and physically fit. It's possible that she did not bleed at all. Progestin IUD+possible low estrogen levels due to eating healthy, working out, low body fat etc.... Without her medical history it's difficult to say...

Sorry, I do not agree and I speak from experience on this issue. I don't think RZ was "bleeding all over". Spotting is very common with an IUD. And believe me, it can be so little and random that you DON'T REALIZE IT. Been there.

I am also speaking from personal experience. I had one /two for over 15 year period.
I have been there too. One never caused spotting- once, one did- and did not last long for me. Impossible to not fully know that you're spotting for long and equally absurd you'd let your self bleed here and there all over your boyfriend's house. And even if one spots, and doesn't know it the first minute- one cleans it up.

If a person has their period with an iud, they take care of themselves the very same way they would normally( for them). Like a Lady. WHich RZ was.

Good point about the makeup remover wipes......

Just re-read this..... thread.... the list of evidence overwhelmingly points to murder. I don't know how any intelligent person could read through this entire thread and think it was suicide.

Nope, if you believe SDSO, you can't blame it on XZ.

Why didn’t we process the blood in the shower?

The condition of the master bedroom lead investigators to believe Rebecca may have been in the shower during the time leading up to her death. The blood drop was very small, and there was evidence Rebecca was experiencing menstrual bleeding, or “spotting,” at the time. Similar blood drops were found outside the door leading to the guest room where the incident occurred. Those samples were tested, and they were found to be from Rebecca. Since the master bedroom is in another part of the mansion, and there was no evidence at the scene of the event suggesting anyone else was bleeding other than Rebecca, this item was not tested.

I wonder, did the perp first plan to write the note ( or some words ) on RZ's body and then decide to wipe the paint off using make up remover pads?

AND...the camera's have not been returned to the Zahau family! Why retain evidence in a suicide ruling that you refuse to reopen?

July 14, 2012
Rudoy told News 8 that the San Diego County Sheriff still has not returned some of Zahau's personal belongs to the family, like her camera, computer or cell phone. He said the Sheriff did make the cell phone available for an independent forensic inspection by an expert hired by the family. That forensic report still is not complete, Rudoy said.

Thanks for this link. I am going to post this link in the cellphone thread so I can find it if I need it later.
