Who do you think is afraid of JO? The Croslin's? I doubt they'd throw his name around so much if they feared retaliation from him.
As for the A/C man, it was mentioned -- I don't recall by whom, but it might have been the WS member who was RC's neighbor -- that the A/C guy was doing routine maintenance on the landlord's various rental properties. I have no idea if that's true, but it does make sense. In the deep south, February and March are good months to get the A/C units ready for the heat that comes in April, and A/C businesses often run specials during that time while they have little work. IF the A/C man was there that afternoon, he'd be a third party witness who could corroborate Misty's account that the kids played outside after Haleigh came home from school. Since we've heard virtually nothing about him from the media or LE outside of Misty's claim that he was there, I'm starting to question his existence. On the other hand, if he were NOT there, why did Misty mention him in the first place? I mean, why place an imaginary witness at the scene knowing full well LE would seek him out to verify her story? I have other thoughts about the A/C man that might relate to your question about the water heater, but this is the wrong thread to discuss them.
IMO, Misty made it pretty clear to ChC that she was not referring to Ron as one of the parties who would be hurt. Timmy? I don't think so, but she certainly roused ChC from her stupor. The way she so casually said, "Lemme talk to Timmy" immediately afterward gave me the impression she was not talking about him. The obvious answer, IMO, is Tommy and JO. But this is Misty we're talking about, so who the heck knows what she's concocting in that dreaded head of hers.
