Joe has a brother Brandon that Misty appeared close with. Do we know where he was when Joe was visiting or not visiting (depending on if you believe Misty or Ron).

*I'm asking to throw out a "other" possibility on the poll.

Hi Mew--just wanted to clear up that Joe has no brothers. Brandon, Charlie & Josh are brothers--from Michigan. Joe has 2 sisters. But still it is another cousin.

The "fact" that JO needed several days to find a way back to TN, tells me Brandon was not with him. It was Jennifer that supplied the ride.

I have been wondering if the talk about tommy and joe has all been a hoax to put Ron at ease and Misty is really pointing the finger at Ron right now.

It's only "us" that is pointng the finger at Joe...Not Misty or Ron.

Misty did implicate him a few times. We just take what little she gives us and try to make sense of it. What's that old saying: you can't make sense out of nonsense... lol that should be this cases motto!!

I voted for Tommy and Joe

I have been reading here for a while, but this is my first post. I love reading all your facts and thoughts.

IMO I think it is very clear that Misty is alluding to Tommy and Joe. I am sorry I do not know how to link, but if you refer to the Media/Links Only page- the last bunch of phone calls - Misty Call #10 is a call with Misty and her grandmother. During the call her grandmother states that Lisa (Misty's Mom) said the whole front page of the newspaper was about how Tommy and Joe took Haleigh away. Misty's reaction IMO is very telling. Misty says that wasn't in any paper and says her mom is silly.

IMO I think grandma thought Lisa and Hank were saying it was in the newspaper, but I really think it was in the letter that Misty wrote.

Here's the link for the call between Misty and her grandmother. I've never heard this one. I think you are exactly right about this being the letter Misty wrote. I don't think she knew how to react to GM talking about it, either. She couldn't tell her the truth, since it would be all over Nancy Grace.
Now we know it is Tommy and Joe! Thank you very much!

I'm just not seeing how it could be Tommy.... Joe was staying with Timmy, not Tommy... It was Timmy and Chelsey's van that was moved and scratched... I just dont see how Tommy is the other person and not Timmy, could someone fill me in..

I went back and listened to the phone call again. The grandmother absolutely says, "your mama said you had stated that Tommy and Joe did away with Haleigh."
What the heck must Lisa Croslin be thinking? Why wouldn't she be outraged at Misty for implicating Tommy? Why isn't grandma upset? Poor Tommy! No wonder he turned out the way he did. Looks like nobody gives a hoot about him!

Well his father does... Hank told Misty "I don't believe you"

Hate to say it but I think Tommy is/and always has been the "go fetch it boy" in this family. When Misty needs some pills for the UC, who does she ask to go fetch some? Tommy - and Tommy goes... Someone in the clan probably asked Tommy to go fetch some bath towels, dawn dish detergent, and a scotch-brite scruber and he went a-fetchin. Not sayin Tommy isn't responsible for his actions as it's long overdue for him to grow up and grow apart from his birth family and become a real husband/father to his own wife and children - just sayin that Tommy would be the one (donkey) Misty would most likely pin the tail on... By the way, please tell me that Grandma didn't actually use the term "did away with"?! That just strikes me as cold in reference to a child...poor HaLeigh.

MOO~

I have lived too long and taught teens too many years (over 3 decades) to not recognize a lie when i see one. Tommy is in jail. He is remorseful. Not only because he was caught, but because he realizes he can't/hasn't won the drug battle. Tommy would have cracked long ago. I feel sorry for Tommy. He is the only one w/ any semblance of decency; he just never had a chance. But I'll bet my bottom dollar, he is NOT involved in a murder or abduction. Even addicts (Tommy) draw the line! Now Misty.... And Ron... God help them. He's gonna have to. Nobody else can.

Best,

ZM

He's the firstborn, Em. That's why he's Hank, Jr. LiC was 17 when she gave birth to him in Aug, 1986.

I know thats how it goes.....LOL
I was just thinking in terms of how birth order is often played out in the dynamics of the family unit..Tommy seems to have taken on the role of the second born rather than first born..
The first born is usually the one all the other siblings rely on to take care of things. Usually the responsible one... Seems these people all turn to Timmy to take care of things......
Middle child often takes on the role of being the scapegoat...Seems to me Tommy is playing that part...JMO

I have to disagree with the portion of your post that I bolded. I have 3 addicts in my family, 2 of which I rarely speak with anymore. I have four beautiful children, ages 11-19, and their uncle and grandmother could care less that they even exist.

Addicts DO NOT draw a line until they quit using, then the line separates them from their life and their death. Obviously we have no way of knowing who is the perpetrator of this crime against Haleigh, but I haven't seen one bit of remorse from ToC, not one bit. For goodness sakes he puts himself in front of his own wife and children. He is an accused pill pusher, and a thief and in my opinion he could take a lesson from his wife in the art of selflessness when it comes to his children. If I were Lyndsey I would separate myself from him until he gets his life right and in my opinion it's going to take more than prison to do that.

I know in my heart the truth is going to emerge the victor in this case, as will Haleigh. I also believe ToC knows the truth regardless of who Misty is alluding to in her letter. JMO

I thought maybe my ears were deceiving me, so I listened to it a few more times, and although the audio does crack up in that spot, the only thing I could make of it was "did away with" or "went away with." Listen to the tape! These aren't normal people. She brags about how Misty is her strong Azz granddaughter, and not one of the others around there could hold up like she has in jail, and how proud she is of her. What a sad state when your proudest moment is how well you granddaughter holds up in jail. Granny and Teresa should get together and have a bragging contest.

On Levi's show this week they said that ToC was known to use the brick at the door technique when robbing houses. Add to that he keeps saying he is worried about MC telling more "stories", MC wants to talk to him, ToC has no bond though he has just one charge, ToC admits to being there that night, and has a history of being RC's enemy. Now there is a serious letter to his wife, plus MC says she is going to hurt 1 person they all care about. To me, all this says, ToC is not in the clear.

Also, it is clear that he is selfish and has a twisted sense of responsibility and duty.
