The guy in the marathon picture has a face that is not round enough to be A-A.

According to this- it is yet unconfirmed if it was the mentioned female...either way- this is devastating to someone's family- and I do not want the pic to be of Martin :(

My observation is that the explosion was in front of the "candy store" or "marathon palace" in a trashcan or something on the far side of the sidewalk near the fence that exploded. Big blast of fire, and smoke, but it all vanished so fast and not much left to see minus lots of shattered glass.

I admit, I'm terrible at finding people in crowds. Is there any way to circle the people we're talking about in the crowd photo?

I agree, I haven't yet seen a backpack that looks like it could have a heavy 6L pressure cooker stuffed in it.

This photo shows the finish line and location of the first bomb at 3:36:30 into the race, approximately 33 minutes before the explosion. At the bottom of the picture, you'll see Krystle Campbell and her friend Karen Rand. This is the nearest before-blast photo I've seen.

Looking at the density of the crowd and the time it would take to move through it, I'm inclined to believe that at this point the bomb is already planted, or perhaps the bomber is in the scene. I expect other victims are in the scene as well though I've not yet identified them.

Above an AA gentleman with a bright green ball cap- there is a person with a
black shoulder strap diagonally across their torso. Person has a gray hoodie on- with the hood covering their head.

ive uploaded both photos so you can see.. there is a guy in with a black backpack at both bombing scenes within 30 mins of the bombs going off.. surely this guy needs looked at?

On the street interview with a man. His wife is a doctor that was at the race and who went to the area of the medic tents after the bombing. He states that she worked on the 8 yr old boy (Martin) before he was pronounced deceased.

If a doctor was working on saving Martin prior to his death then I think we can rest assured that the photo up for debate is not of him. No way would a doctor even try and work on someone in that condition -- there's really nothing left to work with.

I think it would also make sense that this photo is not of the third deceased person, as that person is apparently female and of Asian decent. It also sounds like she may be the one who did not sustain any visible injuries that would have resulted in death since we know Krystal did and Martin was identified as a young male.

IMO, that photo is real but was taken at some other time, some other bombing site. I agree with a prior poster that it would make sense that this is a photo of a suicide bomber, due to the leg being in tact and the upper body being mangled (the opposite type of bodily damage as that which happened to the marathon victims). That, coupled with the fact that the dotted white lines in the photo do not match the uninterrupted white lines at the marathon make me think this photo is unrelated and planted for gruesome effect.

ETA: I tried to post a link to the photo I am referencing but it posted the actual photo on my comment. I don't want to glorify this image in any way so if you're confused about which photo I'm referencing, let me know and I'll try to find a better way of linking up to it. Thanks.

Just getting in, catching up on all the posts...You guys are doing an incredible job...the photos are like a nightmare version of Where's Waldo :(

From the above link, in the first picture, there appears to be an object in the street gutter, but not in the second picture (I wouldn't think it would be the device bc its under cement, but just pointing it out)

I don't see mention on Greta's page of interviewing someone else?

No...she interviewed Tyler the young man who helped the girl. He has not reconnected with her yet, but said that he was impressed with her because she was more concerned with making sure others around her were getting help.

It is a Jansport bag- not big enough to hold a pressure cooker- and those photos seem to show him moving through the crowd- past both explosion sites- with his bag intact, before either device went off...
