I see now that you provided incredibly good instructions. Unfortunately, if I made one, it would turn out badly.
But this has really really helped me understand masks better. We have N95 respirator masks (non-medical) because we needed them during the big fires here in SoCal, but...it is so uncomfortable.
I am willing to wear a face shield in the classroom (if I ever go back) combined with a mask, but I pretty much am going to have to use cloth. The addition of the various filters you mention make all the difference in effectiveness.
