Best info seems to be the announcement made mentioned "a special military family". The body was not on the flight.
IMHO, the booing was directed at the delay, not the Gold Star Family.
Well, IMO, if an announcement was made, and they booed, it was completely and utterly rude of them. And my husband and I fly first class almost always unless it's a short plane ride, because he has hip issues and needs to be able to stretch his legs. I can promise you, after an announcement regarding a military family, we would never boo because of the delay. It's called manners. The people who booed are severely lacking. I've missed flight connections because a member of staff overslept, if you have connecting flights close in time, it's a gamble you accept when you book.
ETA: if any of these people missed a flight because of this delay, I guarantee the airlines would give them a voucher for their troubles.
