It's ridiculous that the attorney uses the word "extraction" when discussing a transfer from the hospital. I think he's using that word purposefully, because it conjures images of a POW.

The terms he used to speak about it gave me this vision of the CHO staff wearing camos and attack rifles and violently opposing Jahi's transfer.

I'm sure most of the staff couldn't be happier to see the door slamming behind them.

All I can say is I wish for peace and comfort for Jahi's family and especially her mother. This will end soon and her mother will travel along the path of grief for the rest of her life. It is good to know that she will never grieve alone as many of us are on that path and we will welcome her with open arms and hearts.

I find it disgraceful that her brother is enabling the denial. I do not believe for one minute that he is doing this for anything other than attention, money, ego, whatever. I am just repulsed. Is there not one person from that family that has truly tried to help her? Are they just all playing along?

Sam Singer, the spokesperson for Oakland Children's Hospital relayed the following to the San Jose Mercury News:

"Sadly ... Mr. Dolan is not being truthful to the public or his clients. . . . When he says his 'medical team' wants to feed her body so her brain will have the optimum nutrients, he is either being purposely deceptive or ignorant. In either case, he is perpetuating a sad and tragic hoax on the public and the McMath family."

These are pretty serious allegations. If true, this could constitute a violation of the California Rules of Professional Conduct. Perhaps the Mcmath / Winkfield family might want to review the consumer protection information available here.

CHO did not withdrawl anything. They maintained the status quo per court order.
