Jean Quan is pretty much despised in Oakland for being completely useless, other than putting her family on the payroll and managing to be gone whenever a crisis strikes.

Huh? I thought per court order/hospital wishes that she had to have been transferred WITH the feeding tube in her throat still in place (disconnected, but still in her throat, with simple reconnect by the 'transfer team').

What they originally wanted was a gastric feeding tube, anyway--(surgery declined by CHO). So why are they messing with the throat one?

There was never a feeding tube, it's always been a ventilator (to pump oxygen into the lungs).

I turned it off after the first couple moments because I noticed the setup for a negligence claim against CH. They are going to claim CH is negligent for not feeding her or treating her while she was alive all this time blah blah...

I think they're going to be in shock about how that turns out.

BTW: I've heard reports she was transported with the hospitals vent.

How is negligence going to work when Jahi has been legally dead according to the state of CA? What CAlaw exists that indicates a hospital is neglectful by following a court order not to provide the trach and feeding tube?

I see OCH being able to beat whatever Dolan throws at them. Dolans painted himself in a corner imo.

I do not twitter or tweet, but did click on the link posted for the uncle's account. His posts are disturbing, to say the least, but the most offensive and shocking thing I saw straight off was the quote at the top of his page:

"Not interested in getting my followers up, just worried about getting them Dollars UP!"

The mayor has zero authority over the hospital or any of the treating physicians. Good grief - these folks were/are grasping at nonexistent straws.

Was she ever given nutrients? If not, how could they be withdrawn? She wasn't being given nutrients before, during or immediately following her surgery. Other than some IV glucose (or whatever electrolyte maintenance fluid they use) had she ever been given nutrients? I don't think she was.

To be honest it's not just CD that is unethical, the judges that have allowed this to continue need a hard look too. By continuing to extend deadlines they've given CD's claim that Jahi is going to recover momentum. I could almost understand the first one but noone has stepped up and taken true responsibility for ending this charade.
