More than likely, she already had a Salem tube (a large-bore tube inserted into the stomach through either the nose or mouth) to EMPTY her stomach of swallowed blood, normal stomach acids etc. They CAN be used as feeding tubes if one is really determined. That would be my guess as to what they're using.

So, she is not a 30 year surgical nurse? One of the first articles I read stated she was. One would think such experience would have convinced her daughter by now... it's over.

One more thought to add regarding the family contacting the mayor: I think they're confusing Jahi's tragic circumstances with those of a convicted murderer on death row wherein a governor can issue a stay of execution.



Someone needs to inform them that there is no comparison & that no one is trying to execute beautiful Jahi. Not that they would listen, sadly.

The trick of going to the media and trying to stir up the public is nothing but a hissy fit. Public opinion DOES matter, but thankfully we still have a judicial system that doesn't cater to tantrums.

I believe the same technology (social media) that is abused by people who want to tip the scales in their favor is backfiring. When there is more access to information, people can form their opinion independently.

I'm not sure why people have so much trouble understanding what happens to the brain when it gets no blood flow as opposed to say a finger or toe or arm or leg when it gets no blood flow. Perhaps it is because the brain is out of sight encased in the skull??

But people would have no trouble understanding what would happen to, say, a finger, if you cut off all the circulation for weeks and weeks. Just because we can see it doesn't mean the same thing isn't happening to Jahi's brain!

Anyway, please read the linked article. It isn't really for the faint of heart, but I think we're beyond 'kind' euphemisms for what is really happening with Jahi right now.

WOW just WOW. I got caught up from last night and am just stunned. I personally think Jahi is at a home of some sort and no tubes can be inserted because they can't find anyone willing to risk their careers. Whoever is providing the "care" I assume is at risk as well and you can tell they are trying to keep it hush hush but it will come out eventually if they end up in court like I assume they will. This horrible attorney and the family are so misguided it is unreal!!! I am angry, sad, and all of the above. I wish to high heaven that CHO could shout from the roof tops their story and the truth so however is supporting this family can be woken up and CHO can stop being bashed left and right over mostly lies. WOW man, I am broken hearted all over the place.
