I find it interesting that Jahi took a sudden turn for the worse yet it is being blamed on the poor care that she received in the hospital.

It has nothing to do with moving her, attempting to put in tubes, trying to do a tracheostomy after insisting she be on ventilator for weeks and possibly an attempt at feeding, etc or anything else they are doing since she left the hospital?

Allyson Scerri as a guest. She says Jahi could recover because she's worked with many families who had a family member declared brain dead but now they're walking and talking. She doesn't yet know whether Jahi will be at her facility but if she will be shipped there she'd get physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Previously they used ouija boards to try to communicate with the deceased, now it's speech therapy.

I understand that hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a chamber filled with hyperbaric oxygen and you go in and breathe. There is no research indicating that it's effective in many of the conditions that it's been marketed for... but how could it even theoretically work in someone who is brain dead and ventilator dependent and cannot inhale? If you want to regulate their oxygen intake you can change the settings of the ventilator.

#Jahi hearing originally set for Tues in Federal Court "vacated" now that the girl has been moved from Children's Hospital.

This Dr reports to the court the changes that were taking place in Jahi... beware it may be difficult for some to read.

I find it hard to believe that anyone who read this could honestly advocate for the family to continue this. It's an indignity to the body of this poor child, and will likely only cause further pain and suffering to the family to watch this happening, and inflict agony on any potential "caregivers" who try to tend to a deteriorating body of a child. I wish Dolan would read this and understand the consequences of allowing this family to continue to live in their denial. It's likely going to end up causing far more suffering than it would have if they had been forced to let her go within a day or two of her death on December 12. JMO.

This is a very grim report but it has factual information that the family must be aware of and must use in good faith to determine how much more "care" will be given to the physical shell that was Jahi.

Any medical professional who contests this report needs to be prepared to defend their findings and conclusions to the court and to Jahi's family.

They need objective data from experts in this field, not do-gooder wishful thinking or self-serving promotion of non-proven therapies or treatments.

Dolan must have known this was coming. Hense all the CHO bashing.

I guess I didn't go back enough time *snort*. If you were to look at my FB, you can hardly find a week that I go by without mentioning my adored nephew. A note, a comment, a pic, a video (and heck, I do't even live in the same city). For the past six years, I have chronicled his life with love and adoration. This jerk, well, suddenly he is trying to appear as uncle of the year. I don't think so :nonono: ---- he is an opportunist.

The only reason I did is that we are snowbound today. :blushing: 14 inches of snow, -12°, -30° with the windchill.

The uncle, however, did not use her name in his descriptions.

13 year old Jahi McMath moved to new facility. I’m talking to her family tonight. What would you do if Jahi were your daughter? #JahiMcMath

@jvelezmitchell I would respectfully bury her, for starters. Dignity for #Jahi.

I'm a little confused as to why there is a date of 1/7/2014 on the document.

Is this the report CHO submitted in rebuttal to the request for a court order for tracheostomy / G-tube?

This certainly can't be a report from the doctor attending her in the unnamed care facility.

Yes, the report is from CHO doctor.

I believe that's referring to the date of the scheduled court proceedings--the doctor looks to have actually produced that statement on January 3rd.

My thoughts as well. must have been intended for tomorrow's hearing, which I reckon is no longer happening since the body was removed from CHO?

Can't. Even. Respond. To. This. Famewhore.

Yes, I said it. She is freakin' dangerous.

The hyperbaric thing is a huge fad. It's applications are extremely limited any anyone postulating this be used on Jahi is only playing scientist with her earthly remains without a whit of ethics, of critical review, of conscience, or empathy for the family.

YOU DON'T GET TO PLAY SCIENTIST WITH HER EARTHLY REMAINS.

I am so furious that these panderers have been allowed out to pollute the hard work of reputable scientists and caregivers. Spitting mad. Spitting mad.

Someone needs to report this to the New York Medical Board. What she is proposing is absolutely unethical and is indeed Abuse of a Corpse.

Jahi may not make it through the day Mail Online

"Dolan added that she had arrived at a secret facility this morning where she was receiving the best treatment available.
But he said it was touch and go whether she 'would make it'.
'Jahi is in worse shape than we thought,' Dolan said. 'The hospital’s withdrawal of nutrients has caused her to deteriorate more rapidly than we thought. It is just sad. They have starved her.'
Asked whether doctors hired by the family were going to fit a feeding tube, he said that they were assessing the situation right now.
'Because of the amount of damage to her throat she is not doing very well,' he said."

Exactly. Dead people don't heal, so her throat should be in the same condition it was in when she died.

There was never a feeding tube, it's always been a ventilator (to pump oxygen into the lungs).

Thanks for the clarification, sherbetjello! I knew about the vent--but was the hydration/hormone administration through an IV drip, then? (Sorry, I came in reading around Thread #3.)

OMG, I just read that report (first time for me) and even though I expected something of the kind, to read about 'gut sloughing' just hit me like a punch in, well, the gut.

I can no longer believe these signs are not readily visible to anyone and everyone who has had any contact with Jahi.

How can they, how CAN they continue to perpetuate this myth that this poor dead child is anything but dead?? :(

Soooo let me get this straight.......as of Monday Jan. 06, 2014 Jahi's been released to her mom and is bedded at her mom's apartment?
The apartment where Jahi's other family members reside?
No facility>>>> just the mom's apartment?

And what about all the goo and yuck that her body will be producing. Wouldn't that have a smell? Would it be like biohazardious? Oh my, I bet more problems are heading Moms way.

Wonder what medical person is assisting if any?

Wow!

Thank you for posting this popsicle.
Sounds clear cut to me.

If anyone can read this and NOT believe Jahi has passed, I have no idea what would convince them.

That was a really hard read. This poor child. :tears:

The body is deteriorating. Sounds clear cut to me as well.

This is why I get infuriated when her family talks about how good she looks. And about how she has the best glow ever. :maddening:
