FARGO, N.D. – Fargo Police Chief David Zibolski said at a news conference on Monday, February 12th the investigation into the missing woman 25-year-old Isadora Wengel involves “large concerns of foul play involved.”

Zibolski and West Fargo Police Chief Pete Nielsen and members of the Cass County State’s Attorney’s office didn’t take questions “because of the complexities of the investigation,” Zibolski said.

“The key things that we wanted you to know are that we have a large contingent working together doing a very large, complex investigation,” Zibolski said.

Fargo Police detectives and investigators are working with city landfill personnel to search the specific area where trash from the 4400 block of Calico Dr. S. would have been disposed, according to police. The Fargo Police Department served a search warrant at that location Friday evening with assistance from the Red River Valley SWAT team.

Wengel, 25, was last seen in the early morning hours on January 5 near the 900 block of 3 ½ Avenue E. in West Fargo, police said. She is 5 feet 3 inches tall and approximately 175 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a white cardigan with pink hearts, blue jeans and either white Air Force 1 tennis shoes or Ugg boots.

It sure doesn't sound good if LE are checking the nearby landfill.

Sounds like they have a suspect in their sights.
If you look at the Fargo Police Dispatch Log, there is one notation for Calico Drive South on that date but it's reported as a call classified as "accident - property" with a time of 7:47 am. Could be separate from the serving of a warrant, as I'm not sure if those are logged into the dispatch log. But here is the record (no specific unit address listed, just the street). The City of Fargo - Dispatch Logs. Here is a google street view of the apartments in the 4400 block of Calico Dr. S. Street View · Google Maps

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Fargo police arrested a 21-year-old man Tuesday afternoon in connection with the missing persons case of Isadora Wengel, a 25-year-old woman reported missing more than a month ago.

Joshua Alexander Hite was taken into custody at 1:33 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, outside his Fargo apartment without incident. He faces charges of murder and tampering with evidence in Wengel’s case.

Wengel was reported missing to West Fargo police on Jan. 7th. Investigators from both departments have worked the case together since then, collecting evidence that led to establishing probable cause for Hite’s arrest. The Metro Street Crimes Unit helped with Tuesday’s arrest.

Police will provide an update on the investigation during a news conference Wednesday, February 11, at 1:30 p.m. at FPD headquarters, 105 25th St. N. The briefing will be available on city access channels, TVFargo.com and police social media accounts

Investigators have indications that Wengel’s body may be in Otter Tail County, Minnesota.

“What we’re asking the public to do, from Fargo to Moorhead to Fergus, Battle Lake and Otter Tail County is the following, based on the fact that we know the disposal of her body occured in extremely cold weather with significant snow on the ground. We now find ourselves in the midst of a mid-winter thaw, which may reveal her whereabouts
