Autopsies on “Fast and Furious” star Paul Walker and his friend Roger Rodas, who were killed in a fiery crash Saturday, have been completed but final results are not yet available, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Examinations have been completed, but the final identification of the bodies will not begin until Tuesday evening, said Craig Harvey of the Los Angeles County coroner's office. It is not yet clear who was driving the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT.

"No results will be released until at the earliest, tomorrow," he said in an email.

As Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives search for an explanation for the crash, investigators so far have found "no evidence" of a fluid leak from the car at the scene, said sheriff's Capt. Mike Parker.

???
If the car is leaking fluid, wouldn't one get it checked by a mechanic rather than driving it around?

Rodas owned a custom car shop and a racing team. I doubt he's taking his vehicles to a mechanic for a fluid leak. jmo

Then he likely had a mechanic right there on the spot.
If the car is suspected of leaking fluid, how does it make any sense to take it for a ride?

I think a few people will try the old smoke and mirrors approach to this one in the hope of avoiding the real reason behind the crash .. speed and reckless driving JMO.

It doesn't make sense. Either there was no leak (not sure where that came from), there was a leak that had been fixed, or he disregarded it. My point was that he wouldn't have been taking the car down to the local mechanic to have it checked out. Which is what the OP said.

Agree. They were obviously a couple of big rich boys who liked to play with expensive fast toys. They may have been lovely people and it's sad they died, especially with their children right there. But they are totally responsible.

Pretty much, with a PR team in the background trying (in vain) to keep the truth out of the media. You know the best message that could come from this is the TRUTH .. that driving around the streets like a hoon is an extremely dangerous thing to do, not matter how 'experienced' a driver you think you are. I know a lot of kids have died on our roads doing the same thing emulating things they saw in 'Fast and the Furious' for instance, this is the perfect educational opportunity to go along with it. A movie is one thing, real life is another, and yes you can play around in cars if you like, but in a safe environment like a speedway track.

Paul Walker dead at 40: Westboro Baptist Church announces picket of late ‘Fast & Furious’ star’s funeral

Days after the horrific death of actor Paul Walker, the ghouls are already coming out of the woodwork.

Guys, there's no need to discuss the relationship with the girl friend, there's already enough pain going around ok?

Exactly why I stopped reading anything about Paul Walker in the Daily Mail . They really don't need to dig into every thing that someone has done....or root out every possible perceived mistake. There are few of us, including myself, who have made all the right choices and haven't done anything remotely regrettable in our lives.

The first time I watched PW in a movie was when "Timeline" came out, and even though the critics lambasted it, it worked ok for me. After watching it I read Michael Crichton's book and it's an interesting read !
What PW did in his personal life is none of my business. Neither would I want any hollywood actors knowing every little thing I've done in my life.

Sad for his daughter and the son of Roger Rodas , and everyone else who loved them. May they both rest in peace and my condolences to their families !

BTW, Coldpizza ; LOVE your avatar ! Gets me in the mood for the holidays ! :)

Cause of death revealed.

Paul Walker died from the effects of traumatic and thermal injuries, the Los Angeles County coroner's office said Wednesday. His friend Roger Rodas, who was driving the car they were in, died from multiple traumatic injuries suffered upon impact.

The ruling means that Walker did not die from the impact of the car crash, but from burning in the car's explosion, according to TMZ. Burning was not listed as a factor in Rodas' death.

Horrible way to die, and so sad. Everything I've read has shown him to be an incredibly nice, humble, generous man with a good heart, who didn't fall into the craziness of Hollywood. Speeding or not, this is the type of person we need more of in this world, IMO. RIP and prayers for comfort to his loved ones and friends.

That breaks my heart. I was actually... "hoping?"... the impact was COD :(

Hopefully, he would have been unconscious. I'd be surprised if he wasn't after such an impact.

"Was Paul Walker trapped in Porsche GT as it started to burn? New footage shows flames did not fully engulf supercar for a MINUTE after crash"

I would be cautious to rely on what the CNN reporter said in the video.

Gasoline does not produce smoke when it burns so the fire had already started at impact ... a minute or so later the rubber components (etc) are beginning to burn thus the more obvious black smoke.
