FBI Investigating Email That Could Land Cindy In Jail

Oh sure charge larry for not coming clean but leave the kid gloves on for the anthonys for not coming clean.

Even though I consider it amoral, I don't think there's a law that says you have to do the right thing. Remember that Vegas case with the two young men, one of them killed a little girl in a casino bathroom? I'm hazy on the details but the one who witnessed the crime was not charged. If I'm correct. It was kind of shocking. So I don't see why LG would be in trouble, legally, for not coming forward. I don't like that he waited but I don't think it's a crime.

If Cindy gave them a brush that had only Casey's hair in it, LE would have known that almost right away and come back asking for another brush.

LE may have and may already know about what was revealed to us today. It's just that we are now just finding out about it.

Agreed, and it goes beyond that. I recall that in her interview with FBI she makes some claim that the police have yet to follow up on some peice of information she has, the agents points out that she has yet to even turn over this tidbit to LE. How could they possibly follow up on something she had not shared with them? Easy, she never intended them to.

Her actions are despicable. She knows what she's doing.

The email simply implies that she did not give them the one with only Caylee's hair. She chose to give them one with, perhaps KC's and Caylee's hair. That's what she allegedly says in the email. That = impeding an investigation. She intentionally gave them the more "difficult" sample to use and the email makes it clear that she knew what she was doing.

You'd just think she'd want to make things a little bit easier for LE in locating her granddaughter. Cindy always knows exactly what she's doing...to believe otherwise would be greatly underestimating her IMO.

Why would Cindy tell Garrison she didn't give LE the best available evidence in the first place?

Was Cindy trying to downplay the hair evidence?

How would telling Garrison that she gave LE 'this' brush instead of 'that' brush downplay the hair evidence? Cindy could have made the comment to Garrison at some point that she gave LE brush A and that, when things calmed down, she realized she probably should have given them brush B instead.

I think Garrison's motive in releasing this email is the biggest concern.

Okay, here's a question.
Could LG still be on the payroll? I really don't think that Cindy would willingly let herself be put in a position like this, but what if she is orchestrating this? The object if the Anthony's all along has been to confuse the issue. Look what this new info is doing. Did LE ever have Caylee's hair, or have they been testing Casey's? Could that be what caused the discrepancies in the FBI testing, leading to words like possibly on the prelim reports? Some newer evidentiary techniques, such as using death banding on hair, is still new. And juries don't like new things, especially technical things. Does anyone remember what juries did with DNA evidence when it was first being used?
So, although I have been rambling, what if LG is being paid to further muddy the waters?

I'm thinking along the same lines.

I am so angry right now. For Caylee, on her behalf. She deserves so much more.

IF CA has obstructed an investigation and they do not charge her I think I will explode. I disagree that this is not a big deal. It shows CA's morality, her make up, her nature. She KNEW LE wanted a hair brush that Caylee specifically used, but what did she give them? She gave them one that KC and Caylee used, telling herself that technically she is giving them what they asked for. That is NOT a grandmother who is looking for truth and justice for her murdered grandbaby.

FOR ME THIS IS A HUGH BLINKING NEON SIGN REGARDING CA'S CAPACITY TO COOPERATE WITH LE AND WHAT KIND OF SPIRIT EMBODIES HER. LIKE MOTHER LIKE DAUGHTER. JMO

ITA. And I am mad with you. I think this was a deliberate act to slow down the dna testing. Why wouldn't she give them the brush that was used exclusively for Caylee?

I don't know if some posters are just trying to play devil's advocate here, or if they actually believe that Cindy's behaviors (washing the pants and knife, not giving LE credit card statements, giving LE a hairbrush not solely used by Caylee, although there is one, etc.) aren't inappropriate and can't be viewed as interfering with the investigation. :waitasec:

It makes me wonder what else she took out of the car to cover up for daughter of the year!!!!

She has now just proven to LE just what kind of person she really is!!!!

If she had been a single, uneducated, unemployed young mother from the inner city, instead of an married, middle-aged, educated, professional woman from the burbs she would have been charged with obstructing justice a long time ago, no matter her loss. Happens all the time.

That there is not the same justice for all is the reason I am opposed to the death penalty.

It is also why I do not think the state would have filed charges against Casey without strong evidence.

That could be too. If Cindy gave them a brush that was found to have none of Caylee's hairs in it she may have then given them the other one. Maybe that's what prompted this discussion between Cindy and Garrison. It still doesn't show evil intent on Cindy's part.
