Officials in western Wisconsin are searching for a 50-year-old Tomah woman who hasn’t been seen or heard from in more than a week.

Felicia Wanna was last seen on Dec. 29 in the Warrens area. Her family and law enforcement are concerned about her safety.

Wanna is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. She has brown eyes and straight shoulder-length brown hair. She also has multiple tattoos, a pierced left ear, a mole on her right cheek and wears glasses and contact lenses.

Police said she may have been in La Crosse on Tuesday.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Ho-Chunk Nation Police Department at 715-284-2658.

According to Ho-Chunk Nation Police, Helgeson “has a history of mental health concerns and is considered to be endangered and possibly in crisis.”

She has “Mark,” tattooed on her wrist, and “Eric,” tattooed on her back, according to a Ho-Chunk Legislative Branch release.

The police department says the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and City of La Crosse Police Department are assisting the investigation.

Additional info surrounding the strange details of her disappearance can be found on the HoChunk Nation Legislative Branch page on FB. Felicia uses the last name Helgeson on social media. Her mom is worried sick, and her tribe is searching for her. The Ho-Chunk nation is a very close and loyal people, I was lucky enough to grow up with many Ho-Chunk kids and experience their culture firsthand. I pray they find Felicia soon.

Her linkedIn shows she was an assistant manager at the Ho-Chunk RV & Campground. Just wondering if she could she have left with someone she met there? As in traveling in an RV, etc. Maybe LE should check who checked out that day?

A body discovered late Wednesday morning in rural Monroe Co. is believed to be a Ho-Chunk Nation tribal member who has been missing since before the new year, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the body of a woman was discovered in the Township of La Grange around 10 a.m. The investigation into the woman’s death is ongoing and the Sheriff’s Office indicated more information will be released as it becomes available.

Currently, investigators suspect the woman to be Felicia Wanna, who was reported missing by the Ho-Chunk Nation Police Dept. earlier this month. At the time, the police department indicated no one had been in touch with Wanna, 50, since Dec. 29, when she was in contact with an immediate family member.

Dang... we had mutual friends, she was very loved.
RIP Felicia.
I am speculating here, but this feels fishy to me. Wouldn't be surprised if it is foul play.

She has had mental health issues before, this is true. But she has never gone missing and wouldn't purposely worry people imo. her close friends have suspicions someone is involved due to many aspects of this ordeal, so we will have to wait & see.
My opinions only.

RIP sweet Felicia.
