Finnish Police - The police is still asking for sightings of missing woman from Kouvola

Poliisi was contacted in October about Siiri Ryhänen as she had not been seen since the start of the month. At the start of the investigation in October 2024 Police did not suspect foul play, which in has now changed. The police now suspect Siiri was a victim of foul play, and the investigation was changed into a murderinvestigation in May 2025.

At the time of her disappearance Siiri was 24 years old, 170 cm tall and light blonde hair.
The police is looking for any information in regards to her disappearance and also sightings from the days before her disappearance, between 1-5 October 2024. Police say she disappeared from Kaunisnurmi area of Kouvola.

I bump this up a bit, and give bit of additional info, not added here yet. Extremely since she has been missing now for a year.

Quick description of the news article.

- She was not initially reported as missing person by any of the people, she was involved with frequently. Police has investigated this since the beginning and suspects someone of them knows, what did happen to her.

- Her family members reported her missing, after she couldn't be reached for three weeks.

- Police did inspect her apartment after the report was filed. They found out, that her (rental) apartment, still had her personal belongings, nothing had been packed and they found also belongings, one would take with them - if travelling or leaving their home otherwise for a while. These items has not been specified by LE.

LE has not commented, was there any signs of struggle or blood found from the apartment.

Also the situation is slightly complicated, because the rental company wants to terminate the contract due unpaid rent. This is going to be handled through Finnish court system.

The neighbour have pointed out that in past couple of months before she disappeared, her flat had been restless. She was often seen with a man, whom the neighbour thinks might be her boyfriend. They also said that until October, there was distinct ruckus going on (no specifications was it clamour or just knocks and bangs.) behind the apartment door and LE had been called couple of time because of filed complaints by other occupants.

They've mainly searched the nearby areas so far and got lots of tips about the case.
Despite all this, she still remains missing.

I hope she is located safe, but it's not sounding good. I wonder if police have been able to interview her boyfriend. Surely some of her friends know who he was.

There is a newer article in a local newspaper, from 20 August, where the police informs that they suspect her disappearance is a homicide. This case is localish for me, I live about an hour away from the town she wenr missing from.
