My opinion is no. Again many will disagree but having watched a few commentators' opinions I don't think the happenings yesterday played that well in general...that said...some sure defended the judge. I did not see some of the most vocal from media reports speaking yesterday so they may come up today. It is possible for sure.

The CTV commentators I saw were critical of the judge - Julia Jenae and the retired judge who is the afternoon anchor. Can't remember her name.

Finally someone remarked to NC about how he was hiding under his mask…and he took it off

I think the Judge should not have allowed any of the victims' families speak to Defense attorneys as they have,

  • #424
The families seem to be happy with the judge’s handling of the trial!

Public Defender Chief is getting called out for saying no one had to endure what the defense had to endure! Smh. McNeil seems ready to burst!

Wow calling out the defense for their lack of humanity and decency! I can’t blame these families for this and the judge for allowing it!

Just imagine watching a video of your child being shot to death.

"Many victims' parents were outraged by the verdict, arguing that sparing Cruz the death penalty may send a bad message to future school shooters."
My gosh ... if this mass murder wasn't worthy of the death penalty, please tell me what kind crime is.

Yesterday's victim impact statements were much more emotional than today. I am impressed with how articulate and eloquent the speakers have been today.

  • #428
Wow Mr. Schulman is wishing him prison Justice in the most explicit way!

  • #429
Now he is requesting all documentation for costs from the public defender’s office

Mr Shulman is an attorney

In recess. I didn't hear how long. Victim impact statements have concluded.

Judge and prosecutors fighting tears as they are thanked repeatedly! Amazing! Defense counsel looks like they’re sucking on lemons.

  • #432
so it is normal to attack attorneys, the court and jurors? Wow.
Its not uncommon for victims or victim families to blast defense counsel.

I like how this speaker is highlighting all the mistakes of the school and law enforcement that led to the ability for Cruz to do what he did. He warned...no one listened...law enforcement should have charged in and killed him. I would be more angry at them than anyone.
The shooting lasted 7 minutes. I believe if there had been an adequate warning system in place nobody on the 3rd floor would have been shoot.

Expecting one officer with a hand gun to go into a building against an shooter with an AR-15 firing indiscriminately would have probably led to 1 more death. Officer Peterson definitely should have sounded the alarm that there was an active shooter but so should every teacher on the 1st and 2nd floors.

But again, it all happened in 7 minutes.

Does anyone know how many people are supposed to be speaking in total?

  • #435
More address towards defense counsel. McNeil called soulless. Yesterday’s objection and statements by PD’s office only served to piss people off and push them to speak when they hadn’t planned to.

This dad just gave the finger to defense counsel! Whoa!

I thought they were finished before the second recess when the families were all hugging each other, but it seems that there are still people wanting to address the court.

Looks like this is the last speaker.

He is obviously getting life. With all these counts, will they be consecutive or concurrent?

  • #440
