Thank you, SeesSeas, for your continuous contributions to this discussion. I did not follow the trial as much as some here but read the thread almost daily. I appreciated your sharing many local reports during the trial. After a school shooting in Oakland County, Michigan almost a year ago, I felt obligated to follow that case more closely and lost some interest in the Parkland case over the past year. I watched some parts of the trial and closing arguments but mostly kept up by reading this discussion. Thanks to all of you who kept this discussion going. I will watch the remaining victim impact statements and the sentencing tomorrow. I'm not a proponent of the death penalty, and it's not an option in Michigan, but I would not have had a problem sentencing this evil young man to death.Judge Calls Out Parkland Defense for Laughing and Flipping the Bird in Court

Judge Elizabeth Scherer called out Parkland shooter's defense table for their behavior during the trial. "When these people are upset about specific things that have gone on from that table, like shooting the middle finger up at this court and laughing and joking," the judge said.
