The jury got it right imo! Mr. Peterson is rightfully so emotional.

Thank God the juries in this county have more sense than the judges and prosecutors. I wish he could sue the pants off of them.

I absolutely agree this man was made into a monster by the media and local LE agencies failed to support him and prosecutors were blinded by the emotional outrage from shooting.

I’ve noticed just recently a lot of Trials that should have never been prosecuted, makes me question how much social media/public opinion and media attention might be influencing the justice system?

Yeah I think there’s a lot of effort to subvert the Justice system. Some people’s idea of “reform” is really subversion. Prosecutors are politicians also at the end of the day and I really feel this man was prosecuted for the politics of it all! JMO

I feel for the victims families and I also feel this defendant was unfairly maligned. To what end?

While I'm not sure he should have been jailed or even prosecuted, I wouldn't really say he was "unfairly maligned." His actions that day were pretty pathetic given his position. I would hope that one takeaway from all of this is that school districts have hire competent people for these positions and those accepting such positions have to be serious.

You’re right. His cowardice was appropriately condemned.

His behavior was cowardly, but I wasn't sure (and the jury didn't believe either, apparently) that his conduct rose to the level of criminality. At the end of the day, Nikolas Cruz remains the one ultimately responsible for what happened.
