Well there ya have it, nothing more to say.

JMHO

The sad thing about it is that mentality is never going to go away. I was talking a page back about 'benefit of the doubt'. Well, TM was ultimately not given the 'benefit of the doubt', wouldn't you say?

I don't see that changing anytime soon, no matter what happens in this case. And that is what ultimately is sad.

So what does it say?

A lot of teenagers have an attitude on social media and elsewhere. Doesn't make it right to shoot them.[/QUOTE

What exactly does "NO LIMIT N&&&&& mean to you? Please let me know! Thx.

For someone who wants to become a pilot.....the sky's the limit...is possible. Or nothing will stop me from obtaining my goal. It could mean anything and it not proof of anything negative. jmo

Er, no. The reason so many of us "give a damn" is not just because we believe TM was a victim of racial profiling.

It's also because the SA dismissed this case, as if it wasn't worth pursuing because it was just some unidentified black kid. More important to uphold the "Stand Your Ground" statute than seek the truth about what really happened that night.

Well, so, a strange guy is walking down your street with hands in his pockets, looking like TM with the grill, not TM the 12 year old pilot, 6 foot 3 in baggy clothes and you're going to be thinking, gee, what a nice guy? C'mon! REALLY? Everyone would be terrified! I would have been! Sorry if that makes me a racist. I would have been terrified by anyone that fit that description, regardless of race!

Put it in perspective......TM was told at a training center for pilots that they don't have any black pilots (assuming this person meant at the training center at that time) and TM said he wanted to be the first. He wanted to be a pilot. Now "No Limits" could have been referring to his ambitions and not necessarily in regards to what he was posting. When you don't know a person it's easy to jump to wrong conclusions. TM has no criminal background, no fights, no arrests, nothing......he was just a kid, who acted like a kid wanting to become an adult soon and go off to college. jmo
I like the way you see NO LIMITS much better :) and maybe you are right.

But please don’t sell me he had no history of bad behavior. HE sure did have a history at the school.
You do not get a 10 day time out for being a good kid, and certainly not 10 days if it is no big deal.
My kids and grandkids never got one day on time out. Neither did I.
I just spoke with my next door neighbor with two teen agers and asked if any of their kids had one day
of time out ever, and they said NO, but if they did, they would get another penalty from me too.

If we want to speak about Trayon and what he was doing currently, it's too bad that that white supremecist who hacked Trayvon accounts didn't think it was important to spread all of Tray's current emails, the ones where he's talking about colleges, and taking the SAT's.

Oh, but then again that wouldn't fit with making him out to be a 🤬🤬🤬🤬, and the desperate need to make him appear to be a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 to make his make his murder ok, was the obvious agenda.

I'm wondering just how far did that hacking go, there have been others who have had tweets posted that were faked by others pretending to be them.

The parents denied their son’s link to a Twitter account, in which he purportedly tweeted about smoking marijuana and made derogatory comments about women.

“It’s an account that there’s tweets even after he is dead,” Crump said. “It’s not his account.”

He had two accounts, The No Limit one and another one.

If these twitter accounts are one of those they are trying to deny then that are trying to spin things. and it's a lie.

  • #107
Wow! Really? I hope you don't mean this as a derogatory comment.

Most familiess are blended these days with divorce and re-marriage being so common. Lots of half and step siblings.

These days...lol....what about Zsa Zsa and Liz??????? LOL

Yes, I don't agree with what the hackers did. However, how can you overlook the posts in the twitter account. And from what I understand, most of the posts in his gmail were mass emails about colleges or SATS, not emails that he initiated. Not that that makes a difference really, but it seems like it was his spam/email account? not really sure and I don't surf the sites that claim to have the emails either. yuck.

http://newsone.com/nation/kirstensavali/trayvon-martins-brother-i-cant-believe-hes-gone/

It did my heart good to watch the brother speak. He's a well-dressed well-spoken young man with a good head on his shoulders. He was honest about his take-away from the 911 call, saying he couldn't be sure about what he heard - and how horrible for him to have to listen to it.

He belies the disgusting insinuations about the Martin family's parenting skills. He has braces, not a grill. He's in school. He's articulate. So as far as the Martin's raising "troubled" thuggish neer-do-wells, I think we can put that one to bed immediately. I know the brother is not Trayvon, but the brother is a product of the Martin family.

I felt the same way when GZ's brother spoke.

I'm sorry, but :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Maybe you would in your neighborhood, but I certainly wouldn't.

I'm a caucasian female, married to a white caucasian male and live in a very racially and ethnically diverse neighborhood. If I called 911 to report every young black male who fit that description, I'd put GZ to shame.

People are people. If TM had been peeking into windows or cars, or exhibiting any other sort of unusual behavior, then I could see that as suspicious. But GZ himself never stated anything of the kind. Regardless, he shouldn't have followed or confronted Trayvon, especially with a loaded gun.

Look, it was dark, anyone who is 6 foot 3 is going to appear a lot older than 17!

How do you KNOW Trayvon was being disrespectful in a community where he was a guest? How do you know it was Trayvon who started this altercation. Have you listened to GZ's calls to 911? His mentality is the forefront to the actions he chose this fateful night.

So, I suppose you were the eyewitness this fateful night? You are stateing the above as fact and that's not proven to be factual. Those are only the words of the overzealous crime watch volunteer who appears to have really taken that too seriously. It's more like reading a crime novel with vigilante justice at the heart.

I hope Trayvon's family doesn't read here..it's not enough that they are heartbroken, you add insult to their injury..

TM's only crime was fitting the GZ's stereotype of a burglar. He was young, black, male and on foot. GZ called the police to report a suspicious person when TM had done nothing out of the ordinary. It's not a crime to walk slow, it's not even out of the ordinary when you are talking on the phone. Looking back at someone who is sitting in a truck staring at you is also an expected response.

GM grabbed his gun, got out of his truck and ran after TM to make sure he didn't get away. But TM wasn't fleeing the scene of a crime, he was just walking back home.

Ok... last warning before time outs are given. Trayvon is a victim, we don't bash victims! We don't call anyone names and its against TOS to attack someone for an opinion.

We don't sleuth minors!

This is just an opinion.
I read the transcript...
her language / choice of words made my hair stand up.
that means a certain caliber.
NO I dont believe one word she says.
Except that she was on the phone with TM.

There was a transcript????? Where was this posted? I thought what we read was someone's opinion of what she supposedly said but it was not a transcript.

Except that she was on the phone with TM.

I bet police find her to be a credible witness. She has no reason to lie, for one thing, and her story fits neatly with the 911 tapes which are in Zimmerman's own words.

Beyond that, we don't know what she did or said.

Even if she didn't contact someone after the conversation abruptly stopped, she may have just thought he hung up. But also, I think I understand this as a mother who has raised three teenagers. They may have phone numbers for friends, but not their friend's parents. In fact, most parents tell kids not to give out family numbers to anyone. And it's almost impossible to find a land line number anymore.

And most young teenagers wouldn't jump to the worst possible conclusion if the phone went dead. They have no life experiences to prepare them for the death of a friend on an ordinary evening. They don't automatically think they need to call 911. But again, we don't know what she did or didn't do. JMOO

GZ claimed that he was acting suspiciously like he was on drugs or something. I believe that is verbatim from the 911 call. As a bouncer, I am sure he knew what and how drugs affect people. GZ had a legal right to hold the loaded gun, and walk around the neighborhood too. And I think he thought TM was armed. jmoo

I also want to say...

It is common courtesy if someone asks for a link post it. If you are stating something as fact then a link is needed for sure.

There is no doubt that his family wanted him to go to college, and made him take all the steps in that direction.

But it is his personal e-mails and actions that show you that TM was not the sweet kid his first photo 12 year old
with a red shirt portray of him.
ALSO: I live in NYC where everything goes, and everything is accepted….HOWEVER the 17 year olds with Gold Teeth
are not our trophies here. NO WAY.

Didn't GZ identify him as a kid in his call to the dispatcher???
