SPD Police report. <modsnip>

http://www.sanfordfl.gov/investigation/docs/Twin Lakes Shooting Initial Report.pdf

"I also observed a black male, wearing a grey hooded sweat shirt laying face down in the grass."

"I then noticed that there was, what appeared to be a black male wearing a grey sweater......"

IMO grey = nearly white

As an ER nurse I'm impressed on your ability to tell who was carrying their guns legally and which guns were legal.

Because LE is usually there with those darn pesky questions. jmo

Yeah, I wish that narcotics officer would release his conversation with Zimmerman.

If Zimmerman was placed in the car, I wonder if the dash cam caught anything? Any kind of conversation? Audio of him being treated? Did they immediately take him to a police car? Where did they interview him on the scene?

I'm not sure you'd ever see it.

Well, if Zimmerman is arrested, I'm sure he'll testify as to whether or not he signed a release. If he is never arrested, I'll just have to look at the photographic evidence of Zimmerman's injuries LE took the night of the shooting?

I think I read where he lives in Florida now too?

GZ and his parents moved to Lake Mary Florida after GZ graduated high school in Manassas, Va. I misspelled Manassas, but close enough.

I've asked this before in this thread, and gotten no answer...

How often do police release key evidence in active murder investigations? Especially before it even makes it to grand jury or before the suspect has been indicted?

We find out because they are usually accompanied by LE Officers, and sometimes in handcuffs, and sometimes NOT, but LE shows up to get their statements if and when they can talk and like others who come to ER, they often have to wait, and while they are simply sitting, just like anyone else who is in ER has to do after triage, or in the patient room, if they have tobe accompanied they TALK so quite often we know the story of how our patient ended up in ER to begin with....

Isn't 24 hours the cut off period where they will not sew up a wound?

I was about to ask a similar question....my memory of this is depends on what part of the body the injury is...some you can but some you can't after 24 hours...hope I remember this correctly.
ETA: Been out of the medical field awhile but this is my memory of it.HTH.

Far more sucinct than my post, but exactly....LE is like anyone else when they have to sit around and wait, or stand around and wait, they talk, and sometimes they talk to us...

Unless Zimmerman denied treatment so he could get the entire thing over with and just go see his doctor in the morning. Rides in ambulances cost money, you know.

He had just almost died? Who would be thinking about the cost of an ambulance? He was bleeding from a serious cut to the back of his head? His nose was broken and bleeding? He could have had bleeding in his brain?

Oh. Ok So LE are asking the bad guys questions in the ER and that's were this information is from. Kind of like an informal pole. I wonder how accurate the intel is?

"Fear of imminent peril of death or great bodily harm" is not the same thing as having to almost die.

Zimmerman should have come out and spoken for himself. To hide and ask friends to vouch for him is silly. Glad they refused.

But he is so devastated, he has spent his days crying. I guess he's crying so much he just simply cannot make any statements for himself.

You know, I never thought I could hate any person as much as I hate Casey Anthony but I swear, Zimmerman has changed my mind about that. He now tops my #1 spot.

I just saw your post. So its your personal conversations with LE officers that gives you the information that your sharing with us. That's fine with me.
