What I heard on the 911 tapes was a kid screaming & whining for help, then a gunshot. It didn't sound like Zimmerman’s deeper voice to me but I'm sure the FBI or FDLE will ID who it was through voice analysis.

I also heard Zimmerman tell 911 he was following a “black male”, that “something’s wrong with him”, “he’s on drugs”, “hand in waistband” etc, that turned out to be an unarmed teenager in a hoodie walking down the sidewalk at 7:15pm on a rainy evening, NOT suspiciously peeking into someone’s windows or near a house. And I heard police specifically tell Zimmerman to STOP but he didn’t, and next I heard Zimmerman say "effing c**ns" while IN PURSUIT of Trayvon right before the screaming & gunshot. jmo.

If Trayvon was followed then confronted by Zimmerman, Trayvon had every right to defend himself because Zimmerman was the aggressor, according to the Stand Your Ground law. jmo. But I think Zimmerman's injuries (if any) were self-inflicted after the fact to validate his self-defense story because I don’t think Trayvon even had a chance to fight back; I think Zimmerman just stood there and shot him while Trayvon begged for his life. jmo. And I’m still horrified at reports of police not taking crime scene photos and so many other ‘missteps’ that look to me like intentional obstruction of the truth. jmo.

I think Zimmerman would not have followed/stalked a non-black because of everything he said on the 911 tapes. jmo. I think he murdered Trayvon in cold blood because he WAS black, to look like some kind of ‘hero’ in his warped mind. jmo.

In my experience, people with firearms are more likely to avoid confrontations altogether. Those are the kinds of things that get your permit revoked.

That is true of those people who are responsible and have no psychological issues....but sadly, there is more than ample evidence to show that not everyone who is able to get a permit to carry is the epitomy of phycological well being and stability.

Just like GZ went to some kind of law enforcement classes, and attended the meeting to set up the neighborhood watch and was told explicitly that neighborhood watch DOES NOT CARRY A GUN, just as he was told by the 911 dispatcher "You don't need to do that" when he learned he was following the suspicious person....and He ignored both...not as responsible and stable as I would like for someone who is granted a permit to carry a gun in my general vicinity, IMO JMHO and stuff

All of the 911 calls were released at the same time weren't they?

Was the 911 call from the guy who's saying GZ was on the bottom released too?

This John guy? I don't know? It's been a while since I listened to them? I want to say the only two men who were actually on the phone with 911 was the first call, and then when the 911 dispatcher asked for the 13-year-old boy to be put on the phone? Also, there's a man's voice in the background on the 911 call where you can hear the screaming and shot.

Good grief... The discussion has now gone to what color Trayvon's hoodie (sweatshirt)? I have tried to catch up and just read, but this is getting way out of hand.

The fact is Trayvon was walking home from a store, Zimmerman was following him, Zimmerman made 911 phone call, Trayvon had no clue why this stanger was following him, and Trayvon, *the VICTIM* of a stanger stalking him, is dead.

If there is an injuries to Zimmerman, it is due to Trayvon fighting for his life. Zimmerman made this happen and made the conscience decision to do so even after being told by 911 operator not to.

This was not racial. Disturbs me on *so* many levels that it is being made as such. Zimmerman was out of power control. Period. I have absolutely no sympathy for him.

http://articles.orlandosentinel.com...on-martin-special-prosecutor-plans-20120325_1

"We're on a fact-finding mission," he said Friday afternoon before stepping into the Sanford Police Department, where investigators were expected to explain how they worked the case and what evidence they collected.

"We're still finding out what was done or not done," de la Rionda said.

His team will first review the evidence, decide what other leads need to be chased down, if any, and go from there, he said.

"Let us do our jobs," he said. "Be patient, please."

BBM.

They should check GZ's dryer for the clothes he was wearing that night since, apparently, that's where Sanford LE decided to store their evidence. They should also get a time machine and go back and test GZ for drug and/or alcohol consumption that night.

I applaud the SP assigned to the case for moving forward with an investigation after the dearth of evidence Sanford LE gave them to work with....Geez.

Even more of a reason IMO Zimmerman and his attorney couldn't care less what we think.

I thought these types of cases were tried by a Judge?

I would think a 9mm through the chest of a skinny kid would exit especially since it appears to have been an instant killing shot. Probably right through the heart or major artery. This wasn't someone being shot with a bb gun.
BBM

Why does a "kill shot" mean anything with respect to the ballistics of the round? For all you know, it severed his aorta and the spine stopped the round.

It's not the skin wounds that are important in gunshot wounds; it's the wound channel. The internal bleeding.

I don't care about any of that. All I was talking about was the 9mm slug and the holes it makes in a body. You have over a 1/3 inch hole going in and usually a lot bigger hole coming out. The cartridge which holds the powder of any bullet come in many different lengths and sizes and is impossible to compare.

Are you trying to say that the entry wound should match the caliber of the bullet? Or are you trying to say that 9mm bullet expands more than other rounds and creates a larger exit wound? By the way a cartridge is a complete round of ammunition. A cartridge case holds the gun powder.

Interesting. Tray's father on Dateline just said that the initial story that LE told him was that TM was atop GZ, TM's hand over GZ's mouth, and just "whaling on him," that GZ was somehow able to unholster his gun and shot TM. His father says that LE told him TM reared up and said, "You got me, man."

 That is one interesting story.

IMO we need the details of who started the altercation before we know whether or not GZ was justified to shoot.

And let me add that the history was so bad they hired Lee to clean things up. He didn't accomplish much IMO.

http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/03/...6/sanford-commission-votes-no-confidence.html

(snip)
Now Chief Lee, who came on the job just 10 months ago for $102,000 a year to clean up a department tainted by racial scandals, finds himself under fire in what promises to be one of the most explosive law enforcement cases of the year.

Clean things up? It went from this.....

to Trayvon's MURDER. Unbelievable that a police department can be so incredibly corrupt.

I like their excuse they couldn't test Zimmerman for drugs or alcohol because he was not under arrest. Nothing was stopping them from asking him if he would give it but I assume they did not ask since they never said he refused.

The official police reports documents injuries to Zimmerman...not a claim of injuries, nebulous or otherwise, actual injuries.

http://www.sanfordfl.gov/investigation/docs/Twin Lakes Shooting Initial Report.pdf

Other than the nebulous claim that he had injuries....WHY would you believe that GZ, the person who was wholly invested in being the neighborhood watch guy, the person who was carrying a gun, the person who was determined to follow someone he thought was suspicious....would not be the one to first make physical contact? That makes no sense at all.

And it makes even less sense to extrapolate that the kid who did not know GZ, who was being followed, who by GZ's own admission was trying to get away, the kid who didn't even get off the phone with his girlfriend, the one who basically had no dog in the fight....suddenly without warning, turned into RAMBO and tried to kill a man with his bare hands....

I don't get it, one person shows by every bit of evidence that we have including his own words and actions that he IS aggressively chasing someone with INTENT....and I don't for one minute think that his pursuit was simply to find out where he was going, I think he wanted answers and I don't think that he was going to accept the fact that Trayvon was not stopping to answer them, and he was going to make him stop and give answers. IMO JMHO and stuff

Well, I'd put it another way. People who are responsible and carry guns avoid confrontations. People who should not be carrying guns get into trouble. Background checks are to keep people who should not have guns from getting them. With GZ's background shoving a police officer and reports of domestic violence I'm surprised he was able to get a license to carry a handgun. 46 calls to LE with complaints such as, children playing in the street, neighbor left a garage door open, someone is weaving in and out of traffic, someone is playing music too loud when they drive by, party at clubhouse too loud (he lived at the other end of the community away from the clubhouse), etc. He seemed to let everything bother him, even little things like calling LE because someone left a trash bag in the middle of the road. Pick the darn thing up and put it in your trash, why complain to LE about it. He was a ticking time bomb. jmo

as a parent very involved in the school system and well familiar with the many reasons (often hogwash) for which a student may be handed a suspension, it is absolutely ludicrous to suggest that suspension equals a bad kid. i'm shocked to even read such a suggestion here.

imo, moo, etc.

When you discuss who jumped whom and there is no way we know yet....
BECAUSE the dots have not been connected....
It is important to look at character of both individuals especially
when one is dead and one is hung.
WE REALLY KNOW NOTHING MUCH in comparison to what we really
need to know much more to decide on anything.

 That is one interesting story.

It's one story that makes absolutely no sense. If Zimmerman were going to claim self defense, he at least needed to come up with a better story than this. No one could possibly believe that a 6 feet 3 inch, 140 pound boy sit on top of Zimmerman at 250 pounds with his hand over his mouth telling him to "shut the ****** up." Such a crock of bullcrap.

I'll be soooooooo thankful when I log onto the internet and see that ZIMMERMAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED. It can't come soon enough.

Until I see actual medical reports...and photos, then I will continue to consider them nebulous, possible, but not likely....Thus far the only thing that Sanford PD has said that I firmly believe is that Trayvon Martin is dead, and that he was shot....all else needs to be confirmed since I personally don't really believe anything SPD says....
