Barbara said she met Moore at a conference; Moore told her she'd love to write an article about the two of them for a local magazine. Moore was inspired by Barbara's comments about how Abraham had changed her life - views about money. Barbara introduced Moore to Abraham. Don't forget - these are con artists - I doubt it was a chance meeting. I wish we knew the date of the conference.

Missing Central Florida lottery winner just fed up or was it foul play

Sunday, December 13, 2009

Moore met Shakespeare barely more than a year ago.

It started at an annual small-business conference in November 2008 in Kissimmee. That's where Moore met Barbara Jackson. Jackson was the Realtor who had sold Shakespeare his house on Red Hawk Bend.

"When I met her, she was in a wheelchair (from 5/05 until this time :liar:)," Jackson said last week. Moore said she had been in a car accident. "She wheeled up right beside me."

Moore was part of a group of people Jackson told about Shakespeare and how he had changed her views about money. "It's not about money at all:waitasec:," Jackson said. "It's about helping people."

Moore told Jackson she was a writer and that she wanted to do a story on her and Shakespeare. Maybe even a book. Jackson set up a meeting. The three of them got together in Lakeland.

"When she came to the house," Jackson said, "she jumped out of a Hummer, walking. And she was on heels. :behind: She said she healed herself through scuba therapy. It wasn't even two weeks." :liar:

Well, as far as we can tell, Abraham was alive in March 2009 and April 2009.

Nothing else concrete from that time.
Eight months of no one seeing him or hearing from him.

And no more driving with no driver's license.

Someone paid the fine in-person; can't tell if it was Abraham. But, if it was, why did he bother paying the fine if he was secretly moving away two weeks later? Someone from Florida may know if his driver's license could have been reinstated once he paid the fine or if he would have needed to attend driving school. It's been confirmed that his BMW has been accounted for so he didn't take the car.

Thank you for finding the conference date in November of 2008; Moore met with Abraham two weeks later. Then signs over the deed to his house in the 2nd week in January.

From the same article:
He gave his stepfather $1 million. He gave his three step- sisters $250,000 apiece. He paid off $185,000 of a mortgage for a friend, he paid off $60,000 of a mortgage for a man whose last name he didn't know and he paid off $53,000 of a mortgage for a man "out of the neighborhood" who he'd "been knowing for a few years."
He bought for $125,000 a house near Lake Wales that he had seen only once and rented it to some tenants he had met only once. He gave his brother's son's best friend $40,000. He gave his mother $12,000 and his sister $10,000. He wrote Wachovia cashier's checks to friends. He paid for funerals.

Below is his father's obituary. We found common-law marriage documents of James Shakespeare and Elizabeth Walker. I haven't found any documents about Elizabeth Walker and another husband (Abraham's stepfather?). Only her name is on the mortgage and she appears to live alone (Moore said she arranges for someone to take her to work and to the doctor). Of course, Moore also said she took her to the holy land to pray so can't take much she says seriously.

LAKE WALES -- Mr. James Shakespeare of Lake Wales died of heart disease Thursday (Dec. 15, 2005) at Lake Wales Medical Center. He was 84. Born Jan. 30, 1921, in Greenville, Mr. Shakespeare moved to Lake Wales from Lakeland two years ago. He worked as a citrus harvester.

Mr. Shakespeare is survived by his companion, Elizabeth Walker, Lakeland; sons, Abraham Shakespeare and James Shakespeare, both of Lakeland; stepson, Robert E. Brown, Lakeland; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Epps Mortuary Chapel, Lake Wales.

Do you all think that AS was 'sought out' and it wasn't a chance meeting when DM rolled up on BJ at the conference? Is it possible? DM doesn't seem to have any history as being a writer/journalist- was the book just a ploy?

(It's hard for me to grasp that people could plan this far ahead in order to take advantage of someone.)

She came to the conference in a wheelchair and, two weeks later, is healed through scuba diving. I also reflect on her scheme of having someone tie her up and threw her in a ditch as part of insurance fraud. For the chance to get millions, I'd vote she'd been planning this for awhile. Unfortunately, Barbara probably didn't ask for a sample of her published works.

I foresee a long article/book written by someone about this story. Hopefully, Moore will be behind bars when it's published.

How can so many people be involved in taking advantage of one man who won the lottery?

I can understand human greed and selfishness.
I don't like it.
But this is a large assortment of people and fake businesses and shady dealings.
All designed to make money for themselves and none for the person
who had a little bit of money.

Did DM step over the ethical line? Yep.
Did DM step over the moral line? Yep.
Did DM step over the line ...and make someone, Abraham, disappear?
It sure looks like it.

Such a good point Dreamweaver. It still shocks me that so many people were involved to pull this off. I feel such anger that Abraham wasn't given the chance to enjoy his winnings with financial/legal advisors who were trustworthy and shielded him from unsavory people/business deals. Where were Franklin and Barbara Jackson when all of this was going on? They are business professionals who were long-time friends.

After reading and rereading, I don't get the feeling that BJ was/is a player in all this. It seems like she trusted DM at face value.

In my head I keep trying to think of all the people AS had in his life and as I keep reading and rereading and thinking, I'm feeling like his pre lotto friends aren't schemers. (IIRC, the Jacksons were his longtime friends or Mr Jackson was?)

In a wheelchair for months and jumping out of a Hummer after 2 weeks of scuba therapy. That's pretty miraculous sounding.

(In the article that gives the description of who AS gave money to, is there a sister- aside from the step-sisters that were mentioned?)

I wonder if FJ and BJ were phased out of AS's life. Since all the signing over of AS's belongings happened so quickly, was AS pulled into a life of isolation, having his mind poisoned against people that he once trusted and called his friends? (People can be manipulated, we see it everyday.)

I agree with you Boyz; I think he was isolated and was probably getting his legal advice from Stitzel. He lived in a house that has a locked gate, so people couldn't just walk up to the front door. I remember reading that Barbara said she was shocked to learn that Abraham was signing over his house in a few short weeks. She felt used by Moore. Franklin was part of Shakespeare & Associates and probably brought in Cedric Lewis. Franklin has a few real estate LLC companies - Cedric Lewis is/was a real estate attorney (license is currently suspended).

I don't get the stepsisters and sister mentioned in the article. This information probably came from Moore as LE didn't contribute to the article.

IIRC, there was a comment at one of the articles that wasn't too flattering towards CL (attorney). I can't say whether or not his dealings with AS or if FJ's dealings were shady (I got lost in the transactions). Could FJ and CL's intentions of being involved with AS and his finances have been good? Handling that amount of money would be a daunting task for most average people, it would seem important to diversify the money/investments, in my opinion. I just don't know what to think. I think my brain's gonna explode. :blushing:

I don't believe Cedric Lewis had good intentions. He's a real estate/trust attorney so this is his specialty. We already found a transaction in which Cedric and his relative Claude sold a $20K piece of property to Shakespeare and Associates for $130K - now with Moore/AMP. Cedric already has been investigated for a questionable handling of someone's trust account and his license to practice law was suspended in May by the FL Supreme Court. The way Moore got all of the morgages once held by Shakespeare & Associates was through Cedric Lewis.

lbminnesota, thank you. You've done so much to explain this case and clear up my brain malfunctions and I appreciate it so much. I'm gonna go back to thinking and try not to bother you super sleuthers. :innocent:

Come on DeeDee... do the right thing... it's New Year's Eve!!!

Please... Tell us...

Where is Abraham Shakespeare???
:prayer:

Listen:He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother, by Hollies

The road is long,
With many a winding turn,
That leads us to who knows where,
Who knows when.
But I'm strong,
Strong enough to carry him,
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

So on we go...

His welfare is of my concern,
No burden is he to bear,
We'll get there.
For I know,
He would not encumber me.

He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

If I'm laden at all,
I'm laden with sadness,
That everyone's heart,
Isn't filled with the gladness,
Of love for one another.

It's a long, long road,
From which there is no return,
While we're on the way to there,
Why not share,
And the load,
Doesn't weigh me down at all.

He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

He's my brother
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

(snip and bbm)

The accident was in May 2005... she leaps upon her high heels November 2008!

Uh huh... the miracle powers of scuba diving, with an oxygen tank full of $$ signs... and the mask as well! A miracle that she could breathe, in the face of such greed! :banghead:

With powers such as those, surely she can tell us where Abraham is!!!

So there was 3 years in a wheelchair and after a couple weeks of scuba therapy she could jump from a Hummer wearing high heels? (If that's the case, it truly is miraculous healing.) Money sure can be a motivator, can't it?

Actually, it was 3 1/2 years!!!

Accident in May 2005... Then she was on the phone 24/7, for 3 years... that takes it to about the middle of 2008. Then for 2 years it runs without her... she travels and starts pilot training (and I'm assuming also trained people to provide CPR, ACLS, PALS... guessing she has lots of 'certifications' :butthead:) that takes it to about the summer of 2010. Oh, and the scuba diving in here somewhere. All the while in a wheelchair, from May 2005 until she rolled up to Jackson, suddenly ditched the wheelchair somewhere to meet Abraham... oh my...

this is just one article on how using aquatic therapy can held rebuild and strangthen muscle tissue in the legs. It is also popular for physical rehabilitation in horses. I think dwelling on this minute detail is a bit ridiculous. She was obviously in a terrible crash and left with injuries. From experience with people who have leg/knee traumas it is not unlikely for the injury to swell up and cause problems after it has healed. Is it possible that DM uses the wheelchair in those instances? A lot of the information everyone is uncovering pertains to the case, but I fail to see how debating an bad mouthing a personal injury does. She never collected insurance money for this incident so it is not a case of fraud so what seems to be the fascination?

They needed Cedric Edom to hold back the family in asking questions. They have him deliver phoney card with $100 (someone had been practicing his signature for documents). Edom is now living in one of Moore's houses so he received compensation for his part. I can't figure out what prompted him to report Abraham missing, but he quickly recants this even though LE had announced it was him. Seems like he's scared and wasn't supposed to report Abraham missing until a later time. I don't believe Edom really understood what was going on.

The question is what happened next. Their plan implodes if Abraham is found and talks to LE. Fortunately, their plan is imploding before their very eyes.

Abraham's either tucked away or dead. Either way, I firmly believe Stitzel and Moore know exactly what happened next and LE will solve this case.

I've been away, but still with you all in heart.

Here's my spin on Cedric.

Suppose that Cedric went along with DM and what was going on ONLY truly believing his cousin WAS in some type of trouble and was hiding out.

DM hands him a card because Abe's Mom is really starting to worry and by this time she doesn't trust DM AT ALL. She finally senses SOMETHING is wrong and not hearing from her son is just not like him.

No matter what happened, he would never leave her worried like this.

Cedric hands over the card, Mom asks, "WTH is this? Really? A card? Money? A cross? Where the hell is my son?!"

Cedric finally pulls it together, he's been used and likely set up. He calls police. He's also scared which is why he will never publicly admit he is the one who called the police.. He might be the next one who's "only hiding out".

Mark my words, he is family and he is not involved in this. Not directly, anyways.

I think he might have just woke up to something was wrong and something needed to be done to make it right.

Also, IMO Abraham Shakespeare is NOT hiding out, he's been had and hid.

Dont forget, she just merged out of bankruptcy. Wow, and then to have enough money for the accident, start a new company, and didnt make the driver pay anything.
With her criminal and credit history I'm sure insurance companies were beating down her door to offer coverage, and banks the same to give her a loan.

:floorlaugh:
what a joke.
