I've always told my nephews that they had no right to discipline another mans child. it was the mothers duty not theirs, and don't let their mama put you in that role.

It's hard to believe a mother would let her little girl be treated this way. How can you just let it happen or go on? If your boyfriend takes your little girl into a closet or bathroom to discipline her then kick the damn door down, and his sorry out. You're babies should of been worth more than him.

Unfortunate that he didn't make this attempt sooner, while Adelynn was still alive. She should have had to have his permission to leave the state with them in the first place, right?

Yes but parents are constantly doing crappy things like taking their kids across state lines and away from the other parent.

According to a heavily redacted DCF investigative summary report from Nov. 25, 2009, Hagwell and another woman were reported to the agency regarding their then-newborn child. The nature of the allegations against the couple were redacted, but an investigator found that neither judicial action nor placement outside the home was required, though intervention services were.

There is another poor baby that fell thru the cracks of DCF..... :tears:

Hagwell (29) (BF) charged with 1 count aggravated child abuse & 1st degree premeditated murder & Destinee Jade Merrell (23) ("mom") charged with 3 counts of child neglect w/o great bodily harm & 1 count of aggravated child abuse & 1 count of accessory to murder after the fact. Both denied bond &
will enter pleas in today's hearing. 11/15 State Atty seeking GJ indictment for 1st degree murder for Hagwell, if indicted will seek DP.

Is it just me, or do these lower than life, scum of the earth mothers with live-in bfs always seem to have "multiple" small children? This is so heartbreaking, and we hear about more and more of these cases. If one or both of these "so-called" adults are on drugs, the children do not stand a chance, IMHO, JMOO.

Destinee Jade Merrell (23) ("mom") charged & indicted with 3 counts of child neglect w/o great bodily harm & 1 count of aggravated child cruelty & 1 count of accessory to murder after the fact. Both denied bond & will enter pleas in today's hearing.
12/1 State Atty will discuss in next few weeks whether to seek DP for both.
12/6 update: Okaloosa County Grand Jury indicted Cory M. Hagwell for first-degree felony murder in the death of Adelynn Merrell. Hagwell was also indicted on two counts of child neglect concerning two other minor children in the home. He is also being charged on one count of aggravated child abuse. Nothing about seeking DP.
