I hope she's found safe. The storm is concerning.
I work at a hospital, and visiting hours are typically 11am til 8pm, but we often let visitors stay late if it's okay with the patient, as long as they're in a private room. We have to make the visitors fill out an after hours form and hand it to security. I imagine most hospitals have the same type of policy.
