Amanda Herrarte-Madrid, 17, was last seen at her Port Charlotte home in the 21000 block of Meehan Avenue at about 3 p.m., July 11. She had only recently moved to the area and is not familiar with Charlotte County.

Amanda is described as being about 5-foot-5, weighing about 100 pounds, and having long brown hair and green eyes. She was wearing a green top with blue stripes and blue jeans when last seen. She only speaks Spanish.

The Sheriff's Office reported that Amanda may be trying to go to either Houston or Los Angeles, possibly by bus. Law enforcement officials believe she may be traveling with or trying to reach Boris Fernando Morales Alvarado, 23, possibly of Houston.
