It's not, it's where the phone was stationary for several hours. West of Yee Haw Junction. JG said he tossed it near an apt complex in Orlando. He returned to Okeechobee then back to Orlando after Yee Haw Junction. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is my understanding anyway.

Okay, so he says he tossed it. Did the police ask why in the h*** he tossed a smartphone?

I am now thinking the tossing of the phone may have been a ploy. His phone stays stationary unable to detect where he REALLY WAS at the time. So she may not be anywhere near this area at all. She may be in the area he went once he tossed the phone.

I said at the first I didn't think he was as stupid as some other offenders are and I still don't think he is a stupid guy. Now he did screw up when his cell phone led them right to Diana's door. Did a lightbulb come on when he was in the area of his tossed phone and all of a sudden he realized if they had his phone pings his movements could be detected?

I am beginning to think she isn't in that area at all. He placed her somewhere else and that location may never become known.:(

What if he just laid the phone down somewhere in YeeHaw and went on where he was going?

May I ask what freaks you out? The reason I ask pretty much what was said in the article has already been known.

Thanks.

Did a lightbulb come on once Diana's parents called him? Is this when he dumped the phone?

Missing girl's family speaks out against suspicions allegations

http://www.fox4now.com/news/missing-girls-family-speaks-out-against-suspicions

I find this so heartbreaking. Human beings can be so cold, insensitive, and downright cruel. Some social media sites has even made it worse. Thank goodness this one doesn't allow that to happen.

They are already going through the worst nightmare imaginable and to be accused of being involved has to cause them unimaginable pain on top of the tremendous amount of pain and suffering they are already enduring.

It gives me horrible flashbacks of other families in their same situation being falsely accused 24/7 and the most horrible thing about the accusations to me is they are all based on nothing but gossip, speculation, and rumor without one shred of evidence to back any of it up.:(

It tears me up inside when I see it happening. I have always felt it dishonors the little victim who no doubt loved their mom or stepmom and daddy or stepdaddy as much as they love their child.

I could understand somewhat if the police has implied they were involved but they haven't. In fact the family says the police have kept them abreast of what is happening in the investigation as it happens. Both her mom and step-daddy have been very open to all from the beginning. They have tried everything they know how to keep Diana's story in the news.

This family needs love and support now more than any other time in their lives.

God bless Diana and all who love her and want her home.

Ah ha..........good question. It certainly may have, Paula.

But why would you toss your phone if it had dammning evidence of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on it? If you were worried about carrying it around, why not destroy it and drop it in a lake? Or throw it off a bridge. Why throw it in a field where workers/landscapers are going to be working?

I am leaning more towards him being out walking in that field and losing the phone. That's why he called his number---to see if anyone found it. imo

I feel like he didnt intend to stop at Yeehaw l. Maybe he got the call around there...thought diana told them and got mad..chased her out of the car and lost the phone and did whatever he did to her.

Katy,

I personally think you are right. Although it is possible that he did ditch the phone I'm with you in thinking he probably lost it because like you said if he ditched it why would he even bother calling it?

I wonder if they have evidence that Diana is no longer with us hence the reason they are doing all these searches on land etc... Maybe they found dirt on him or in his car etc that make them think she's buried somewhere and that is why they had the shovels?

Or called it to see if he could hear it ring. I text myself when I lose mine. Wonder whose phone he called from?? That phone might need to be investigated for pings, too. Im glad it was lost. Saved a search warrant requirement.

Deputies continue to search for clues in case of missing girl

Detectives searched on horseback, ATVs and on foot until 3 p.m. Tuesday, when one deputy told reporters that the land was too wet to continue their efforts. That deputy also told FOX 35 that the FDLE and the Polk County Sheriffs Office was conducting another search about 15 miles away and that one of the tools being used was a cadaver dog.

I thought about that too at first and thought he mistakenly dropped it but now I am not so sure. I think he did toss it and wanted to see if anyone found his locked phone. He knew they wouldn't be able to access it and open it up. Its odd that he told the guy who found it to keep it. If he actually dropped it by mistake he would want his Samsung smartphone back. Its strange at the time he dropped it ............it happened to be conveniently locked.

Have we learned what reason he gave to police for tossing his smartphone out the window? Who in the heck does that except a guilty person getting rid of evidence?

Another day with no sign of this beautiful girl. Hoping she comes home soon. Her family needs closure. I wish there was a way to force suspects to admit to the truth.

I do the same thing when I can't find my cell phone in the house. I'll just pick up the house phone and call my cell phone. LOL My theory on the phone is exactly what Katy said and what you said. As Katy said JG probably lost the phone and then like you said he went to call it to see if he could find it, and my thoughts is that he wasn't expecting someone to pick up but when someone did JG thought he lucked out and that's why he told the man who answered to keep the phone. JG was probably thinking that since someone had the phone in their possession that it would never be found. I think the fact that he told the person to keep the phone is VERY indicative that he lost it and was worried about it being found then when he found out someone had it he thought all was good and he wouldn't be caught.

Adding to that.... I just realized... he was already with someone when the phone went missing? How did he call his next ride, otherwise

Samsung phones automatically lock after a certain time unless you set them to something else. (I used to have one)

Sorry to go on about the tossing of the phone but he didn't toss it where they have been searching, unless the landscaper is lying, it says in the Criminal Complaint Document the landscaper found the phone in the area of Barwood Drive, Orange County, Barwood Drive is in Orlando. They area they have been searching is where the phone was stationary for several hours, when JG was driving all that back and forth.
