Ok when I was little I said I was gonna marry my brother he was 10 years older than me. It was funny to my family. There was no abuse. Also, at a older age I was infatuated with my cousin. I followed him everywhere. Poor Guy. But no abuse their either. So sometimes those things happen and sometimes it is all innocent unless you meet up with a pedophile.
My only abuse and my friends was by the man of the couple we babysat. We never told our parents then as we knew our dads would kill him. We wanted to tell the wife but she was so nice. I would love to confront him today!!!

Sometimes there is no grooming needed. My neighbours grandfather was visiting her family and sexually assaulted me.
My grandfathers brother as well had all us kids one summer and took me behind a barn and did what he wanted with me. I barely knew either man.
I knew something wasn't right both times. I was 8 and 10. I never told a soul. I just told my mom a few years ago whom still thinks I made it up. It's a sad affair when a parent thinks we would lie. I don't know why I didn't tell I wasn't threatened by either one. Both were random incidents that happened one time. I've pushed aside those days so long ago that it's hard to even imagine what little Diana is going through/went through. My prayers are that she is brought home and her family is able to fully process what has happened.

Corey Lazar on WINK News just reported that the mother called JG around 7:44 am that morning and he hung up on her. JG was detained shortly after that but DA was not with him and they let him go. Also said the mother then learned of a "sinister plot" to take DA. Maybe there was something on her phone? I don't have a link yet.

Imho Telling is embarrassing and you, as a child think who will they believe the adult or the child?
The babysitter provided us with beer at the age of 14 and 16. So he would prob use that for an excuse.

A sinister plot? Was someone else involved? I guess this plot involved burning down the trailer.

"I just want the people to focus on her," said Uribe Jimenez, the girl's stepfather. "It don't matter, don't matter that guy is already in jail. We don't know about Diana."

I agree JMO

New information on #DianaAlvarez from our reporter Kim Powell, WINK News working the story tonight:

Family attorney says Diana's mom thought of suspect Jorge Guerrero right away and tried to call him when Diana wasn't in her room that Sunday morning. She says he hung up on her.

We also learned Guererro was detained shortly after that - and released. That would seem to mean Diana was not with him at the time.

We are continuing to work on this tonight. More at 11 and posted here as we learn it

https://www.facebook.com/1067806446...806446571209/1201169019901617/?type=3&theater

is anyone else able to find anything on WINK's actual news site about the family attorney, etc? It says they would be covering it but so far the only info I can find about a family attorney and what that attorney says is right here on the reporter's Facebook page and another "teaser" on a WINK reporter's twitter feed. Where is the actual story?

Corey Lazar at WINK is very into this case. He even updates with live information when he is off work! He has a young daughter so this is close to his heart.

What????? Well, this changes everything!!! This case gets stranger and stranger and stranger! "shortly after?" Shortly after 7am when she called? Well, now we have a really really tight timeline. That, honestly, sounds more like a hand off. That would be very quick.
Unfortunately, that's still plenty of time...

In 76 percent of the missing children homicide cases studied, the child was dead within three hours of the abduction

They believe an old roommate may have kidnapped her.

“He left like a month ago before this thing happened,” Diana’s stepfather says. “He said, ‘I’m going to move. I don’t have no more job here.”

Jimenez says they believe the man is about 25 or 26 years old. He lived with their family for a short period of time while he searched for work. They never noticed anything strange about him. The mom tells Four In Your Corner the last time they saw him was a week ago when he came back to the house to pick up some of his belongings.

When Diana mysteriously disappeared, her parents tried reaching out to the roommate. They say originally he didn’t answer their calls right away. When they finally got in touch with him he said he was in Orlando looking for work and didn’t know about Diana’s whereabouts.

Diana’s mother tells Four In Your Corner off-camera that her daughter started acting strange a few weeks leading up to her 9th birthday earlier this month. She says Diana started focusing on her appearance much more and out of no where started wanting to wear makeup.

She also said her daughter was close to the roommate who practically became like family during his stay.

This is an article I obtained from thread #1. This article was the first mention of a roommate, and it sent everybody in the forum into a frenzy. If you notice, it states that they called repeatedly before JG finally answered. I believe the step-dad told the same story during his 40 minute radio station interview.

If what Cory Lazar reported this morning is accurate, then I assume:

1)The mother tried to call and got hung up on.
2) The mother then kept calling with no answer.
3) Finally, the phone was answered at which time JG denied any knowledge of her whereabouts and claimed to be in Orlando.

There isn't a timeline published between call #1 and call #3 that I've seen. I don't know if it's one hour, or 12 hours.

These stories from MSM have gotten so diluted and overlap so much, it's hard to really tell what the facts are. This article was posted on 5/31, three full days after she disappeared.

Have they said why JG was stopped by le? Was it directly in relation to diana being missing or just a random stop i.e traffic stop? I have this awful feeling that he was pulled over for something minor, and she WAS with him then...

  • #514
So, he was pulled over, DA wasn't with him, and he was let go (was this the tan car?). Then an amber alert was issued even though DA wasn't with him?

State twice rejected Lee County appeals for AMBER Alert in Alvarez case

--snips--

Rita Hernandez, the mother of the San Carlos Park girl, called Guerrero shortly after she discovered the girl missing on the morning of May 29, but he hung up when she asked about Alvarez, according to attorneys Thomas R. Busatta and Joshua Lopez. Guerrero used to live at their home but moved out after Hernandez confronted him about his relationship with the girl, Hernandez said.

~~
Law enforcement initially thought Alvarez was a runaway, the attorneys said. The criteria for an AMBER Alert stipulate that authorities must believe an abduction has taken place, and descriptive information about a suspect or a suspect’s vehicle must be available. Also, the child must be at risk of serious bodily injury or death.

Ugh, a barely 9 year old isn't a runaway. This is why I said in the beginning I was worried about this investigation.

--Diana's Mother immediately thought of JG when Diana went missing
--she called JG at 7:44 a.m. Sunday May 29th, asked about Diana, JG hung up on her, never answered her calls again.
--later Sunday she learned of a sinister plot for JG to remove Diana from their home

--Lee County tried to put out an AA twice before FDLE accepted the AA 5 days later (June 2nd).
--shortly thereafter JG was detained, and released.

wondering if the "sinister plot" she learned of was via LE and about the phone activity showing contact from JG phone, to the family phone. Lines up with the family being detained and questioned, not allowed in the family home that weekend, etc. Lines up with "shortly thereafter suspect was detained and released, Diana was not with him at this time". LE were working multiple angles/leads as they should have been.

the only breaking news is the fact that JG was detained prior to being named publicly the suspect and taken into custody and that Diana was not with him.

The "sinister" stuff is sound bite with no teeth. JMO

I was really interested in the family attorney and what that attorney had to say. That is covered at around the 6:20 mark in the video by Corey Lazar of WINK on his facebook video.

"and we've also learned from the family - a lawyer released an emotional statement today 'The family has not given up hope on the safe return of Diana. They understand the difficulty of the investigation and what encompasses. The family struggles every minute of every day to learn more about the disappearance and where Diana might be. They want their 9 year old 3rd grader back home. Safe and unharmed' "
