Busatta and Joshua Lopez. Guerrero used to live at their home but moved out after Hernandez confronted him about his relationship with the girl, Hernandez said.

The criteria for an AMBER Alert stipulate that authorities must believe an abduction has taken place, and descriptive information about a suspect or a suspect’s vehicle must be available. Also, the child must be at risk of serious bodily injury or death.

There we go with the "runaway" again. Oh this INFURIATES me! It wasn't reported that she took anything but her shoes, a blanket (which I'm starting to think JG told her to bring), and the clothes on her back. I'm sure she thought she was going to run outside to visit with JG for a bit and sneak back in before her family woke up.

Oh good grief. So let me get this straight: Jorge was located on Sunday morning, May 29 (the same day Diana went missing) & released (imo because they didn't yet have his phone and what was on it) & Diana wasn't with him? Is that right?

--the way I hear it, is that Diana's Mom called him immediately Sunday morning, asked about Diana and he hung up on her.

--after the AA was released on Thursday with his info, LE detained, and released him.

--as we know, he was then brought into custody late Friday night in Okeechobee, remains in custody now in Lee County, on federal charges.

--due in court next: June 20th.

"And we've also learned about the searches in Polk, Hendry, and Osceola counties. Now we've learned that the Pasco, Jackson, and Orange County sheriff's offices were all involved as well."​

It's rather ambiguous as to whether they were involved in searches or not but two are not adjacent to the other counties searched and one is far north. The counties he mentioned:

• Orange County - Orlando, where JGT lived/tossed or lost phone
• Osceola County - search near Yeehaw Junction
• Polk County - search at Grape Hammock Fish Camp
• Hendry County - new? - adjacent to Lee County (Diana's home) and Glades County (Moore Haven search site)
• Pasco County - definitely new - in west central FL
• Jackson County - definitely new - in the panhandle bordering both Georgia and Alabama.

I marked a map for those not familiar with the state pointing out the new counties. The ?'s are known search sites; ? on Hendry was an oops but probably a safe assumption. The X is where he was arrested in Okeechobee.

Yes. This is OUTRAGEOUS. I care so little about how the kidnapper's gf describes Diana (obsessed, infatuated, whatever). It all seems to minimize what this actually is. It's terribly upsetting. The people in this thread, and this entire case, have really shed a light for me on the stigma re: child molestation. Even the damn authorities seem to indicate they felt she went willingly and therfore was a runaway. Outfreakingrageous.

I believe the note that DA ripped up was part of her way to go with JG. And DA upset that JG left without her. He really must have groomed her well. Praying she is found alive.

Looking at the ratings on these lawyers, it concerns me greatly.

However, someone with legal knowledge to give advice and speak Spanish, at this point in time, is better than being alone, not knowing any of the laws or their rights. And as Ticya mentioned, it is more than likely pro bono.

Exactly. I had NO IDEA what was happening to me was wrong. It felt a little wierd but I trusted the man molesting me. It wasnt until a kid in my community was kidnapped, raped, and murdered that I understood it was wrong. And the fear of thinking this man would kill me is what led to me being silent and allowing this man to not only continue doing it, but actually selling me to his friend too..into my 20s!! This grooming and the fear is so minimized in these situations. Calling her a runaway just boils my blood!!

Where did this come from? For me this is the biggest clue so far. I have not been able to identify a source saying this aside of a post here. Anyone have an idea?

according to his bio he is also a former police officer, training officer, as well as a homicide detective prior to becoming an attorney. This case may have piqued his interest because of his prior LE involvement and the initial reports that this case could involve a custody dispute between mom (here in the US) and dad (who is in Mexico). I can see how this case would be of interest to someone like him. The case would speak to several areas of his career path.

I recall in the very first day or two her family members saying she had no cell phone or social media but would use the family cell phone to google things she wanted to draw such as horses and butterflies. Having trouble locating a link right now but would have been in thread 1
