hi guys,
been faithfully following the three threads here, along with every news article as quick as they are posted; I click as fast as my fingers allow. I live very close to the area in which Diana disappeared from.

thank you for sharing the video that gives a look at the home, DA's bedroom, the room they chose to rent out & the kitchen.

I noticed in this video this is the only time that RJ refers to her daughter as "mi Niña".. all of the other interviews she is taped saying "la Niña". I come from Spanish decent & it hits me in a very strange spot.

so does the fact that they have a lawyer; I can't help but wonder if they have a lawyer to prevent their story from changing any more moving forward.

I'm also very curious if anyone knows where JGT was living in the month after he moved out. he told LE that he was living in Orlando with two roommates; I believe those are the guys who took him in wet & he stayed with them for 2 or 3 days.

where was he staying for the remainder of the month? is this where DA is? I'm praying.

I just wanted to throw out my own thoughts & opinions.

I have so many questions
I feel getting it out may ease my mind.

I'v just caught up on this thread and I am totally confused.
There doesn't seem to be a clear timeline, only snippets of information and changing information. Ofcourse this could be from the different reporting and some not having all the facts. I sure hope the police are not as confused as me!

Exactly. I had NO IDEA what was happening to me was wrong. It felt a little wierd but I trusted the man molesting me. It wasnt until a kid in my community was kidnapped, raped, and murdered that I understood it was wrong. And the fear of thinking this man would kill me is what led to me being silent and allowing this man to not only continue doing it, but actually selling me to his friend too..into my 20s!! This grooming and the fear is so minimized in these situations. Calling her a runaway just boils my blood!!

All I can say Lava, is I am truly sorry you had to endure that.

I can so relate. I was absolutely furious when I read the article where they are trying to put blame on Diana. None of this is her fault and to even infer that she was the problem is wrong on every level.

Diana is missing because a damned pedophile was obsessed with her.

As far as I know, the info about where he was living hasn't been released (other than what you mentioned).

I found the wording odd as well, but I don't know if it's abnormal per se. I feel like you're definitely on the right track as far as the attorney helping the stories stay consistent along with being a formal spokesperson for the family. I am sure it was difficult for the cousin (Nancy M., I believe) and UJ to keep things on track. The pressure has to be intense and overwhelming. Wanting to get the word out about DA, worry, expecting a baby, etc. the last thing I would want to do is try to compare and keep track of everything I say to media. All the while, trying to pay attention to anything anyone else is saying on their behalf or about them. I am sure it is a welcomed relief to have someone that is a 3rd party "buffer".

EDIT!!!!! WOW~!!! How did I miss that video?? That is the mother lode video! It shows the room where the brothers stayed- I had not seen that or known that. She explains the stove--- all 6 burners on high, with the oil pot on there. She called BOTH brothers and NEITHER of them answered! Well, this video is full of good info. Thanks for reposting that one! Is it on the media thread?

I don't find anything wrong or suspicious about them having an attorney. In fact I am glad they do, and he can explain how the criminal justice system works here, and how things will play out if ,and when they arrest Jorge on additional charges pertaining to Diana. Also the father in Mexico may try to use this to gain custody of his boys. I don't think he will be successful even if he does try. It is obvious to me that Diana's mom is a very caring, protective mother hen type of mom. If only Jorge had stayed away when she told him to get out then we wouldn't even know Diana's name.

In the Holly Bobo case a high profile defense attorney (Steve Farese) has been there from the beginning for the family since Holly went missing. That family had absolutely nothing to do with their missing daughter now found dead/murdered. Here we have a language barrier too. As we have seen the parents haven't understood why somethings have happened or not happened. So at least this man can explain it all to them.

I have felt from the very beginning that Diana's mom loves her daughter dearly. I have already said how much I have admired her, and how open they both have been during all of this. Even before we learned it I always felt they immediately told LE about Jorge and his behavior toward Diana. Both seem to be very honest and open people. I don't think he is there to make sure their stories are straight. That implies wrongdoing and there isn't even a hint that either one has done anything wrong.

Defense attorneys are suppose to do at least one pro bono case a year to give back so I would think he offered to help them for free.

New information on #DianaAlvarez from our reporter Kim Powell, WINK News working the story tonight:

Family attorney says Diana's mom thought of suspect Jorge Guerrero right away and tried to call him when Diana wasn't in her room that Sunday morning. She says he hung up on her.

We also learned Guererro was detained shortly after that - and released. That would seem to mean Diana was not with him at the time.

We are continuing to work on this tonight. More at 11 and posted here as we learn it

is anyone else able to find anything on WINK's actual news site about the family attorney, etc? It says they would be covering it but so far the only info I can find about a family attorney and what that attorney says is right here on the reporter's Facebook page and another "teaser" on a WINK reporter's twitter feed. Where is the actual story?

BBM: In my post I was thinking more of how the public and possibly LE will/could/does compare, scrutinize, and pick apart what is said by the various family members....not that the family has done anything wrong. I feel it helps ensure more accurate info is released to the public and provided to law enforcement. Which has probably relieved a large burden from the parent's shoulders. If the attorney is doing it pro bono and for no other reason than to help the family, then he is an amazing human being. I truly hope karma rewards him in kind. I think we're on the same side of the coin as far as the attorney goes.

I apologize to anyone that may feel I was being accusatory. The last thing I would ever want to do is blame a victim(s). I can't imagine what the parents are going through. My heart aches for those that love DA. Whenever a child is involved, until everyone is ruled out with finality - I am suspicious of everyone. That does not mean they are guilty - it just means I need to learn to reign in my emotions and choose my words more carefully when posting in a public forum. :footinmouth:

Above all I want the same thing everyone else wants - the innocent to be protected, Diana to be found and safely back among her loved ones. :rose:

I did not take it that way. I understood what you were saying. And you are correct! I think what a few of us were saying was not that Diana's family did anything wrong, but it is a fact that he is a family and criminal defense attorney. We (or I) was not trying to insinuate anything other than that. Just what the fact is. Don't feel bad about your words. They are as important as anyone else's. I do have concerns about the attorney's motives, though. I am going to hope it is just a super nice guy trying to lend a helping hand. I would sure hate for a family who is already grieving to be used as a pawn for some exposure.

And by the way--- yeah! The stories have not been exactly straight. So, there is that. That's nothing accusatory and not implying wrongdoing. Again, just a fact. Things have been released that contradict each other. In a forum where we look at facts and dissect them to get some hints where to go, this is certainly something that should be able to be discussed, without shaming.

I vote JGT.

IMO he's a predatory monster who had access to a young girl that he groomed, manipulated, victimized and eventually lured, murdered and discarded. I doubt he even thought ahead far enough to have a plan for what to do with her after he took her and fulfilled his evil intentions. The guy had nowhere for himself, much less a 9yr old girl to hide out. He knew exactly why RH/UJ had kicked him out of their house. They interfered with his intentions and he wasn't willing to let go of all the work he'd done grooming little DA (maybe even more motivated to act as a result). I also think she was young but not dumb, she likely heard Mom/Stepdad discussing the "attachment" they noticed between JGT and her at some point. DA likely started secretly texting/messaging w/ JGT as soon as he was kicked out as he had convinced her they had "something special" that was a secret. I suspect there may have been some planning for DA to leave with JGT when he came back to pick up the van - perhaps the reason why DA was reportedly so very upset about him not waiting for her. Sadly, she was smitten (with all the adoration a 9yr old could have) with the special treatment and attention she was getting from JGT and she was easily manipulated and lured away by him as a result.

Trafficking a definite possibility but w/ the info we have available, I'm not buying it. He wanted her for himself.

No, Saucy, I am the one that owes you an apology, and I sincerely do apologize.

I didn't intend it the way it sounded.........honestly.

I was just giving my own opinion about the defense attorney being onboard at this juncture along with me believing the parents are innocent victims in all of this. JMO.

It doesn't mean I am right .......its only an opinion I hold, and yours is as valuable as anyone here.

As far as getting their stories straight I must have missed something they have said. I have found them to be pretty consistent throughout but I am sure I haven't read every article where they have spoken out. I do think at first some of the translation was getting lost sometimes.

From the very beginning as far as I can tell they had two theories in mind almost immediately, and that was 1) her father was somehow involved or 2) Jorge had acted inappropriately with Diana and was told to move out so he could be the one involved in the abduction. Of course the more they checked into it I think they knew Jorge was the one that took her and they knew it had nothing to do with her being taken to her father. From what we have seen they immediately told LE about these two possibilities.

Anyway, I am so sorry if I offended you in any way. I feel terrible........please forgive me if you can.
