The girlfriend is only 17 and the father is 24. Isn't she considered a minor? He is 24 and they are not married. Can he be in any trouble due to their ages? I am not familiar with the laws there. Anyone know?

Where are we hearing that a 17 year old was sleeping in the room with Haleigh and a 2 year old? The articles I have read don't mention the 17 year old.

I didn't get the "or older" when I read it.
Sooo...I guess there could be trouble there, unless she is emancipated.
I wonder if having a child makes a difference.

You can't go by the age posted on myspace...a lot of young kids lie and put other ages.

I was thinkinng i read she was 19 in an article, but they all have conflicting stories in them. I surely hope she's not under age.

Fox just said its a trailer park, with a river about 1/4 to 1/2 mile away. Fathers girlfriend was home with her and he was at work.
What little child would wander outside in the middle of the night and reported she had a shirt and shorts on. Its a little cold in that area this time of year for shorts.

There is a large number of sex offenders that live in the area. I am pretty religous about locking my doors, even during the day, but esp at night & turning on our alarm system, but I forgot to lock one of the doors last wk & it is not the first time.

According to media, bio mom lives in St. Mary's, GA and was on her way to FL once Hayleigh was reported missing.

There seems to be a good deal of inconsistencies with this story. I'm hoping it's bad reporting. Maybe we will have a clearer picture sometime soon...

Well I found the boi moms myspace. If she is 23 that means she was 17 when haleigh was born. She has two other kids also. I'm thinking the 2 yr old is not her's.
