This may be far out there - but I'm thinking - like some others are too - that gf waited till dad got home to call LE cuz they needed to stash some things before they came. Drugs? Weapons? Stolen Items? Whatever? Anyway - where would they have stashed things like that? Maybe some of these type items were found by searchers? Could lead them back to the home.

I thought that's what I read somewhere (I'm on two different chats) and was wondering what could that be? What would you find that makes you think a person is still alive?

Respectfully....That was not my take on his statement. He was asked if they thought she was alive and he just gave the generic yes we have hope answer. He did not imply that what they found pointed to her being alive.

Honestly, it was so confusing. They are optomistic. The search was successful but yet they were going to be sending divers back into the river tomorrow. I think they are hopeful that the evidence found would lead to some sort of outcome/closure... but not necessarily the best one. That's my take.

If they found items of interest and are now going back to the house, followed by more family interviews they are looking to tie the evidence they found today to the house. Clothes? The blanket she was rambling about washing?

LE is doing a great job keep all the family members talking. Not disclosing details to the public. Very professional. But they don't seem to looking in every nook and cranny to find suspicious child molesters that are in the neighborhood. They seem very focused on the girlfriend and the house.

That is interesting. They are going back to the house. I'm sure they are interviewing and reinterviewing RSO's but they aren't really talking about that.
Instead they are saying, that everyone is a suspect.

i think the point made in the latest pc that whether haliegh was abducted from the home OR left the home and was picked up by someone, they have no right to have her. Hhhmmm. Makes me , once again, ask, who all from the families is actually present at the search HQ? Any family members, close friends, etc they maybe only spoke w/ via phone, but are not there? If my chils was missing, I can 100% say every sibling, loved one and friend would, especially as more time goes by, be there right with me, hounding for answers from every source possible.

I was hoping they found a stash of food or a doll???? I hope they find her soon........alive, but as the hours go by it gets scarey.

Once you go through one case, I guess signs become pretty clear..
Geee...I told myself last night that getting involved with another case wasn't good for the emotions..

I have been through many, many of these cases and it is always difficult. It doesn't get easier. You do learn to read between the lines with LE.

I just heard LE say an interesting thing tho. He said if Haleigh left the house on her own and was picked up by someone...they do not have rights to this child and it would still be considered an abduction. (My thoughts went straight to Bio mom again.)

Maybe LE said the search was successful.........in a LE way, maybe not in a she's alive way. Wonder now if LE is looking for a dead Haleigh? instead of alive. Maybe successful meant an arrest soon? It is confusing ...........

Whew...after that Greta interview last night, I'd be very surprised if they go on any more shows. That was a train wreck that was difficult to watch. NG would chew them up and spit them out so fast, it would be painful. The girlfriend appeared drugged, drunk or just completely out of it during the GVS interview. The father/Donald did not do himself any favors either. He was clearly trying to coach Misti, mumbled something to her away from the microphone and seemed very frustrated that she wasn't answering the questions in the way he wanted her to. It was one of the strangest interviews I've ever seen.

Strange. Could a five year old child run away? For real? I don't think so - not successfully.

But I guess they could try - and then a pervert could intercede before a good person found her.
