She flipped the mattress?? Do you have the link for JVM where she said that? I'm surprised she wouldn't just put a towel down underneath the child and then a clean sheet and blanket.. flipping the mattress is too much work lol

Yeah right...she looks too tiny/frail...I can't imagine her flipping a mattress. That's hard work...I always had my son help me do it and only because the mattress guy said it helped them last longer.

Plus...I never ever heard of anyone doing that for a wet bed (my kids never wet the bed)...can you imagine the smell...wet pee not being allowed to dry and stuck up against the box springs...ewee...:waitasec:

I said the exact same thing to my husband last night when I saw the bio mom interviewed on Nancy Grace. SS, this is the 4th case (Kelsey Smith, the Stanley sisters and Caylee being the other three) where you have saved me lots of typing time!

You know you're taught often to go with your gut instinct, your 1st choice, the 1st thing that comes to mind. I stand strong in believing this gf is guilty of something. I'm not sure what, accident, left the child alone, whatever it is but she is not telling the truth.

Reading the police report just solidifies what I've stated from the 1st moment in the 1st thread on Haleigh! I hope she just comes clean already. I find it hard to believe that this girl would be hard to crack. Unlike someone else we've seen.

actually it is pretty grody (to use an 80s word) to think of Ronnie with a 14 year old girl (if bmom's age has been nailed down to 89). And a 25 year old with a just~turned~17 year old is up there too. Equating that with what may have happened to Haleigh though... I just don't see it. I trust LE is ferreting out who was where when and they have polyd Misty two times. I sincerely am so thankful that from the start they have worked all possible angles of this case to include mobile offenders. I pray that they get the lead they need soon. As we post here, if Haleigh is still alive, the clock is ticking....

Yep, seems that Ronald likes his women very young........control? does not look good in that direction and that he has a record for drugs. Did he ever go to jail for all the drug arrests? Or did he just get fined?

I do wonder if this will end up being a family (not bio mom) maybe aunt or someone that does not like how Haleigh was being raised with 17 yo GF?
and they are in hiding? Hope so, then Haleigh will be safe. LE said to public.......you may have picked Haleigh up, but you have no right to keep her........sounded like a custody thing to me at the moment.......
and grandma (bio mom) didn't seem that upset to me. She seemed to just put Ronald under a bus the other night.......

Like some, I think Misti may have left the kids to go to brothers? maybe. What if the brothers friend knew this, and went to Ronalds house to steal something and Haleigh woke up and he panicked?

Well of course washing the mattress and then flip it over so she woudln't be laying there in a wet bed.

I am not seeing where she appears afraid of him. Granted, he was yelling when he found his child missing and called her a name or two..but it doesn't mean it happens all the time and we shouldn't assume it. He could treat her fine when he isn't freaked out beyond belief. I would probably be cussing and ranting if I came home to find my child gone, too.

He could, and I could very well be wrong..She reminds me much of my sister who was controlled and physically abused..
Maybe that is what I am seeing..
dunno..I guess we will learn soon enough the dynamics in that home.:blowkiss:

Ok in police report, gf replies to officer that she "sometimes walks w Haleigh to (redacted) her family..." To whose family... is it gf's family that is w/in walking distance? Presumably LE got sworn statements from all those family members (and anyone else) w/in walking distance that gf was never there that evening by herself! Hinky meter going off...

Report continues, "Track cont'd north past residence, where we made a left onto Monroe Ave..." Not what I wanted to hear, that is where SOB KJ resides. JMO

thoughts on the footprint.... KDB...I really am thinking about what you said...that if she were abducted wouldn't the abductor carry her vs her walking... and I completely agree..

However....it depends on where exactly they found the foot print. To navigate the door and ramp it is plausible the perp would possibly have placed the child on the ground at some point and perhaps this is the point at which the footprint was "imprinted" in the dirt.

I also agree with Ned that if Misty killed this child the body would have been found already (nurse pondering another sentence with comparisons to rocket scientists but will strike that)

As I mentioned in the Mark Klass thread I don't think she has enough going on between her ears to make her disappear this good - I'm not sure if we should be talking this way about the gf-rocket scientist but It was my opinion of her

No JVM and the Grandmother were talking about the bed wetting. The Grandmother told JVM that Haleigh never wet the bed when she was with her mother and hadn't done that for 2 years. JVM brought up how if Haliegh wet the bed why would she only be changing the TOP BLANKET that it didn't make sense b/c you'd think that the mattress and sheet over that would be what was wet not the top blanket. The Grandmother then in response said something to the effect of "yeah or even just flip the mattress over if she peed"

And that is what made me think of "OMG what if Haleigh was raped or something in the bed and the girlfriend is trying to cover up the evidence from the rape." because as they said it doesn't make sense if she peed why the said GF wouldn't change the sheets on the mattress and flip the mattress over. I mean Jane right away said that the pee would most likely go underneath where she was laying not on the blanket that is on top of her.

When my children including youngest (now six) had accidents at night after being potty-trained during the day it was often their blanket that would become soiled since any child who is active in their sleep will twist, turn over, and wind up sleeping on top of. It did concern me when I first heard about peeing the bed since I know this can be one of the number one red flags or triggers for abusiveness w abusive parents. If that's the case tho the gf sure wasn't letting on to the least frustration and deserves an academy award for being a child actress...

I want to know what "items of interest" were found today... any way we will learn what these were? JMO

Pull ups are expensive and it does not seem like they had much money.

oh ok...that makes sense then whey they didn't use them. They weren't around when my kids were little.
On a side note...I would almost guarantee they were getting SSI payments since this little girl was diagnosed with Turner's syndrome. I also remember reading on one of the divorce documents that both parents were suppose to keep up the medicaid on the kids. Have I missed where anyone has said how long dad has had this job? I wonder if that affected the medicaid.

When a kid wets the bed, you don't "flip the mattress". Sheesh! Where do these people get this stuff?! It would then ruin the box springs and smell. Disgusting!!

It seems like the dogs went on a wild goose chase before coming back to (Tyler just guessing here)? then to buffalo bluff.

A SO perp isn't going to take her around the block a few times before shoving her in a truck at the railroad tracks!

It appears to me if the dogs are correct, is that Misty took Haleigh and JR for a walk, and they ended up on (Tyler, again just guessing), where they visited with Misty's brother. Something happened there. Whether Haleigh wandered off and someone grabbed her at the railroad tracks, or ?

But he might take her to his HOUSE. The tracking goes right past one of the SO's houses AND Misty's brother's home.

I would bet real money that the blacked out portion of the description has something to do with the brother's home or address.
