I am wondering if they found hair possible caught on bushes or trees.

Because of the subsequent statements from the Sheriff's office and TES, I'm inclined to believe the evidence is more substantial than just some strands of hair. Something was found that changed the outlook and direction of the investigation.

can someone post the pic, I don't have myspace and can't view it? Thanks

KiKi If the outbuilding you are wondering about is the one by the home...it is just right there, within feet of trailer. The video on HLN showed it and they did zoom in on pieces of cinder blocks that were under it.

Thanks, I didn't realize it was so close to trailer. Has anyone said what it's use was? Storage? Partying? Playhouse? Wondering why dogs tracked there.

I'd like to know more about this van.

You and me both... operational? drug vehicle? wth?

I know! I'm almost afraid to post anything for fear it was already discussed...LOL

Listen when I went to bed last nite (as thread #13 was starting) after praying once again this little angel would be found b4 am, I think I had nitemares re what thread no. I might awaken to (Haleigh Cummings Thread #1,547,690...) They are moving so quickly, I am on and off all day but playing catch-up in the ams. Lord I am mostly just trying to avoid thinking the worst and just praying she'll be found and threads can STOP!! JMO

Kiki...they did not show it from the front, but my impression was that it was just a storage shed.

He didn't give up his custody rights. LE assisted in gaining physical custody of the child to give to the mother because of her legal time for visitation. It is the reporter's wording which is misleading in the twitter account.

No kidding. Also this is the same one that embedded themselves with the search and took pictures. I noticed they never posted the pictures either. Guess Tim told him not too

Amber Alert: New Clues Bring New Hope In Haleigh Search __Saturday, February 14, 2009 9:25:03 AM __Channel 13 Florida__SATSUMA -- A news conference is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday for an update on Day 5 of the search for missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings.__Investigators said Friday they found various items of interest in the case, and their recent searches were very productive, but did not specify what the items were.__Searchers regrouped Friday to figure out their target areas, and where to go next in the search for Haleigh.__Deputies continue searching by air, on the ground and in the water near the girl's Putnam County home.__Investigators said they will go back over some areas already covered to make sure they did not miss anything__

Why the long wait between announcing the presser and the presser? For those who are experts in these matters what does that normally mean?

I agree. It could be her clothing with visible forensic evidence, a weapon, or an actual crime scene. It is something which implies she is no longer alive, imo. :(

In listening to the 911 call placed by gf, you can hear RC mouthing in the background. For the most part it is unintelligible, but after they were disconnected about midway on the recording, the dispatcher calls them back. He answers and the dispatcher asks to speak to his wife. He hands gf the phone and he can clearly be heard saying "How the f*** can you let my daughter get stolen b****?" I think during the disconnect, he might have become violent with gf, because her answers were a very quick "yes", the kind of reply you might hear from someone who is being threatened physically. This is just my take on what I heard.

Oh, I do too!

Since I am convinced he is responsible for Haleigh's disappearance and he and Misty are working together to cover it up, I would hope that LE has gone to Ron's place of employment to check for evidence. According to one of the newspeople, Ron works for a company that makes parts for bridges (it was also mentioned he was a crane operator)... whichever, he could have taken a body to work with him. He could have hidden evidence where he works... dumpster, in cement, many things. I actually believe, if this poor child is dead, she was most likely dumped in the body of water near their home, but just covering all the bases here with Ron's job.

I don't think this case will go on long. Ron is going to get very upset with Misty when things don't go as he planned, when people begin to see through his lies (since many of us already see through hers). I'm sure LE already knows. Reading that custody report, only reinforces what I felt about him all along.

I will say it again. The only difference between Ron and Misty is that Ron is a more convincing liar.

This poor child.
No, I don't think anything happened BEFORE he left for work. I think he got done early. Crane operators work "a" job. Even if he was running a crane at a fabricating location. Once the "job" is done - the crane gets shut down.

He just went way too far off the deep end that night - too much, too quick, too soon. And he called gf "dumb b*tch" in the police report. Nope, he was angry about something else!!!! Maybe gf NOT being home when he got there? Like I said - little Haleigh started chatting - about how gf maybe does this somewhat frequently and defended her to dad - and dad "goes off deep end". That would also explain his anger and frustration. HE did something but he BLAMES gf cause she wasn't there! Sound like someone else we know? He was cussing and screaming and threatening to kill whoever did this - what better way to cover - threaten to kill whoever when you KNOW YOU did it! Also, I think they (dad and gf) had to "clean up" that trailer before LE got there - ya know - as in "ditch the stash" somewhere.

As bad as it pains me. I agree.

Don't you think if he was not at work like he said that it would have come out already. I don't think the Ron has anything to do with it, and I doubt Misty did either.

They announce set presser times to allow the media the opportunity to get into place to keep the public updated. If they have immediate news (such as finding a body), they set up a more impromptu presser. Hope that helps. ;)

Well Haleigh's hair snagged, or a piece of ripped or discarded article of the known clothing she was last wearing would be as substantial as it can get because that would be the nearest, more personal effects of Haleigh being her very own hair, or very own clothes she was wearing at the time. Only other substantial evidence would be another part or piece of her. Blood spots? Even toys, blankets etc... aren't as close and up personal as hair, blood, skin, body parts or known article of last clothing. Right? I am willing to be turned into another direction though for sure.

They were born "out of wedlock" according to the court doc. Strange that a father as verbally threatening as RC would get custody of both children. Mother and Aunt (of Ron) probvided care a couple of years ago.

N/K! W/e bio mom's substance problems etc, w dad's drug history, rap sheet etc, why were these children in his care!!! I know the State likes to keep children w parents but for the life of me I just can not understand such lax standards. aaaarrrghghghh... :scream:

There are too many conflicting statements. LE has not cleared them. There is a reason for this.
