i have to agree...
i'm thinking misty left those kids on their own while she went out somewhere, the perp could have been watching and seen her leave...turning a light on wouldn't have mattered because it was just the two little kids home.
i'm beginning to think misty didn't even get home until just before the dad did..hence the ever changing stories.

what 17yr old goes to bed at 10:30 anyway?
Maybe she got back up when he came home from work - maybe to make him something to eat - whatever.

Please please please - get someone that knows construction or plumbing to look at that actual trailer photo and just ask them where the bathroom is - THAT STACK IS THE TOILET VENT! I come from 4 generations of plumbers. That is where the bathroom is.
As for the windows - the older mobile homes didn't have near as many windows as the newer models have.

This double wide would have to have two bathrooms. I could be wrong, but I see two skylights, a home of that square footage would be built to spec even being a modular home and it should have two bathrooms. I see the bathroom vents, but I think the stack is also a fireplace stack for the family room. Let me go back and see again, but I thought I saw two small vents representing bathroom vents.

DUMB QUESTION ALERT:
Was it the door itself that was propped or was it a screen door? And if it was a screen door, did it have the hydraulic thingie that pulls it closed or not?

That is a TOILET VENT! That is NOT a chimney. That is where the bathroom is.

IMO..that is definately a chimney stack. The pipe vents are only about a 2 1/2" pipe that maybe extends maybe 6" above the roof.

Got a roofer over here, about 30 years worth. He says that "stack" is a gas vent for a hot water heater or a furnace. Whether he's right or wrong I have no clue, but that's what he says.

I haven't read all the posts, but has anybody thought about the possiblity that the girlfriend may have had a "visitor" that night who may have abducted the child....maybe the child woke up and found the "visitor" there and they knew she would tell daddy...

Ok... PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE ME A QUICK UPDATE... been at work all day and just got home trying to make dinner....

I see the news conf. is changed to tomorrow at 4pm.... anything else new?

I am SOOO sorry... THANK YOU ALL in advance!!!
They had the 4:00 pm presser and no new news. Scaled the search back on the water. Said the items found yesterday were not significant findings. They will have another one tomorrow.

You have missed nothing else really. ;) Now go enjoy Valentine's Day! :blowkiss:

Has it been discussed what the heck is on Ronald's neck? It looks like some sort of bandage...but why?

You really wanna know what I think?

Ok

I really really really really really want to know WHO came with the brother and nephews that afternoon to play. THAT is our "key".

The POI came with the brother.

There's some tidbits to chew on.

Snipped by me.

I agree with you. That is what I have been thinking ever since that news came out.

I toyed with that a few days ago....IDK...possible.

Fiance with years experiance in tearing down trailers and modulars says the big one is a chimney stack and the smaller, flatter, nearly invisible one closer to the red square is a bathroom vent, unless that is just a blob on the photo and the bathroom vent is on the side, which it is in a lot of cases.

I live where mobile home factories abound. My parents own mobile home parks. I've never been in a double-wide with just one bathroom. Even old mobile homes that aren't double wides usually have 2 bathrooms.

Why would they need a chimney in FL? Its probably where the heating vent is or where the vent for the laundry.

We have bounced that one around, yes...except for the last part...interesting angle.

If it has a master bath, then there's another bathroom down the hallway that 2 other bedrooms are off of i think..

Both dad and gf have phones. Dad said gf was calling him as he pulled up. Now if she was on a land line or a cell - I would think a cell phone. So they both had cells. Wonder if LE has pulled those records yet.

So true, he also asked the girlfriend why was she calling him and not 911?

my hubby says "furnace"

Yes it is definetly NOT for Chimney. They live in the state of Florida where it doesn't get that cold at ALL but cold enough where they might need a furnace running at some poitn but no need for a chimney.
