That's the thing. In towns like this, and I know them well, everyone knows everyone and who is doing what and who is doing whom. There are people who know exactly what happened here and there are always "talkers" who will get the info out over time. The lady in the store who seemed so nasty, I would have asked her what did she mean by that and did she have other suggestions (soften her up a little) and get her talking. Which may be exactly what these people did. For that matter, LE will be very familiar with this family (and all the other families) and probably know roughly who to look at.
Agreed, and if they are building a case against one, they must be VERY careful to make sure that alllllll of the others are eliminated beyond a shadow of a doubt, and with the records, and "extracurricular" activities of alllll the others, that can take some time. LE wants to remove all reasonable doubt, I am sure. LE has w aworking theory by now, especially with the size of the town, population, etc. And as a P.S. The poster who suggested the cell phone calls should be tracked is on the $$$$.. It would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

This is the portion of the interview about the blanket and the vanMisty:
I didn’t hear anything at all. Nothing. If I had heard something I would have got up and not wouldn’t let them take her.
Reporter:
So what happened?
Misty:
Ok , I put her to bed about 8:00. So ? [this her bed time because] she has school. I put her to bed and Her blanket and my blanket, my blanket was in the van that they took. So we had a blanket hanging on the window and I had to wash that and her blanket, her blanket was, she peed on her blanket the night before I guess, and I wasn’t going to put it on her and it smelled like pee so I washed the blanket and I gave her a little sheet to cover up with and she fell asleep and I came in and put her blanket on her and then I laid down and it was about and not positive at what time I was like 3:00, I seen three, 3:00 o’clock in the morning, I got up and I got up because I had to use the bathroom but I didn’t make it to the bathroom, I seen the kitchen light on and I walked in the kitchen and I saw the back door was wide open and I didn’t notice about Haleigh then till I seen the back door open and then I go in her room and she’s gone and that’s all I know.

Ok, I thought Misty said that ...
the kids where in bed with her
then she said that the lil boy was in bed with her
and then she said the little girl & lil boy was in a bed in another room
then Misty and lil boy in bed together while the lil girl was her own bed in the same room
Now in the statement above she says Haleigh was in her own room ...

Is anyone besides me confused?? This girl KNOWS where that lil girl is.

What is it that Judge Judy says??? ... If your telling the truth you don't have to have a good memory.

I also heard he worked 12 hour shifts but the time he picked Haliegh up on Monday and got off work on Tuesday morning does not meet a 12 hour shift. I am puzzled LE has not confirmed that Haleigh was at school on Monday. There was a presser this week and when asked, LE did not know. Seems that would be an easy answer to get. The lack of information we are getting and the fact that this baby has been gone almost a week now is not good IMHO. Also, the mention of someone having her that did not have permission was a huge red flag.........but her mom did not have her so that is strange. She would have gotten JR too, if she was coming after her children. I feel like I am going in circles with the little bit of information we are getting. Also, today is Jr.'s birthday........it is all over the papers here in Georgia, "Jr. is spending his birthday missing his sister." soo sad
Which reminds me...we should all take a minute and say a prayer for Rj today. Saying "Happy Birthday" seems a bit contradictory...but he is four. My prayers and happy thoughts go out to Rj on his big day. I hope this birthday is extra special if both families are coming together to celebrate his life. He needs it and deserves it every year...but especially this year.

I hope they realize that he is well aware of what is going on around him and he is not a baby. He is going thru the trauma along with everyone else and he knows something is very wrong. I hope someone is allowing him to express his thoughts on Haleigh and everything that is happening instead of "shielding" him by not talking about it around him. Huge mistake. He should grieve the loss with everyone else.

Wow...I missed the part where she missed so much school. How much?? Poor lil girl.

in a bio mom's interview on nancy grace (i believe) they mentioned her missing a lot of school but the bio mom didn't have an answer as to why. i'm not sure if it was on the interview or i read it here about the dad being in trouble and possibly facing jailtime or losing custody (i can't remember which one) due to her missing school.

i just find the way this entire case is be handled, at least from what we see as odd.

No CSI people, no one has been cleared yet. No warning to the locals about locking doors. Does anyone know if LE is searching homes again after the first few hours. There are saying the child did not wonder off. Grrr...something is not making sense to me. Why is nothing being said. I get that they are not going to tell us eveything but that haven't said anything of meaning in days. Just that the footprint that they found in the police report was not of any value. No work hours for Ron, no information about her getting of the school bus. No interview of the bus driver by the media on how she was a great little kid, got off the bus and dad picked her up as usual. Now of the normal stuff we usually see in these cases. Is it just me?

Somebody has got to know something in the group of homes. Heck on my street everybody knows something about someone else. Why isn't the media knocking on doors and running down stories?

I have NEVER seen them "hold" a residence while the victim's family were sleeping in a tent or a hotel for this long. As a matter of fact...I have never heard of LE being able to "hold" a residence period. This is a new one on me. Anyone else?!

I missed the tent link period. Are their pics or what?? Who all is in the tent? I thought gf went back to her family and then I see her everywhere with dad.

Many construction crews work four 10 hour shifts. That would put him going in at 5pm.

I think just biodad and gf. Jr is at home with mom.

Yep and the same families do not trust LE or anyone 'outside'.......
they protect their own families big time........
I lived in a tiny trailer park in Albany GA......
I was an outsider.........
hubby was USMC and I was a yankee......
it was hard til they got to know me and I got accepted.

O.K. here I go again. If I were a 17 yr old girl, sexually savvy, had an older b/f, when he got home at 3 something, and it was a new relationship, what could my b/f want? Food? nah, he wants sex! I had a bar for a while, and worked until 3 every night (at least) I COULD NOT sleep when I got home, had to decompress for a bit. Misty was used to being up (JMO!!) b/c she wanted to be with her beau, and he wanted to be with her.(sexually) maybe not every night, but come on...I find it hard to believe, after only 5 mos, she was sleeping soundly and it was strange that she was up when he got home. My b/f (now hubby 14 yrs) was normally awake, maybe not doing jumping jacks, but was "ready for me to get home" ...He moved into my house, and he still felt "new" there. Too new to sleep like he does now (SNOOORE)...Something is rotten in Denmark. I hope I'm wrong, but too much just doesn't add up

Exactly. They went in and did their business of removing what the SW allowed for before turning it back over the owners. They took their time in doing it...but we are not seeing that in this case. They are not still hauling items out 24/7 here. They are simply not allowing anyone into the home and haven't for how long now?

well, it could be that LE has determined the house *is* a crime scene and just have not mentioned that yet. LE has stated several times that they are "treating it" as an abduction. That could be for several reasons. One could be that until they get the evidence that a crime was in fact committed in the house, they need to be careful. It is kinda obvious to me, that even though LE has not stated it, the home is being examined as a possible crime scene at this point. I have not heard if there is LE at the house doing investigation or if LE has abandoned it and simply will not let anyone in. See, this is why even if no one in the family did anything wrong they really *do* need lawyers. They need to be represented regardless. Apparently there have been no ambulance chasers to show up and offer the family assistance yet and they can not afford anyone. If they can afford it and simply are not seeking advice then it just goes to show how really dumb they are.

I don't know if this has been brought up or not (my eyes are going to start bleeding from these threads here in a second) but wouldn't Jr. be able to shed some light on what was going on in that house, that night or even before? He's certainly of speaking age. This leads me more inclined that the girlfriend isn't directly involved, he could always spill the beans. What he might not be able to say is if she left that night and then came back but I would think he would be key in the investigation or no?

I feel badly for the GF as she does not seem to be able communicate well on her own. She requires direction. So unsure of herself to the point of not knowing the difference between inches and feet. It is interesting that the dad has gone from blaming the "dumb 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" girlfriend to being suportive to the point he is coaching her on how to relate to the media (look in to the camera).

Yes. This is the way she said it. Thanks. Slips and dips in her story. This IS the interview that LE will be using to go over and over. The contradictions are blatent.

It does make sense if someone was watching this house, Ronald goes to work and is gone at night, gf is there to care for the kids. All of the sudden a blanket is taken from the window....(I imagine that like used for curtains) would that give him a hint that now is his chance?

The fact that there are soooo many SO within a 5 mile radious is very scarey to me.

With he lack of facts that we have, I am reaching real far out on this one. It also stands out to me that all SO's were cleared so quickly....hummmm

Haleigh was a kindergarten student at Browning-Pearce Elementary School. Several threads back a poster who lives very closeby said that the k-garten was full day.

Her father claims he picked her up after school and before he went to his shifts. He worked nights.

Has anyone heard if there's a press conference today? I've seen nothing on one but I thought yesterday they said there would be one today.
