Uh like banging on every door, making sure not ONE of my neighbors got ANY sleep I'd be calling out so loud... and I'd still be at it, maybe it's just me... JMO

:parrot:

of course, if 50% of your neighbors are RSO's, I don't know if that would be the wisest route to go....maybe Ron taught her that they needed to stick to themselves.

I wonder if someone's phone pinged there? Do we know where the field is in relation to other related landmarks, like Haleigh's home, school, dad's work....

i think it said 10 miles south. i know, not very specific. i don't think they can pinpoint pings very closely either, though. i'm not how close they can get with pings. maybe like a mile or something?

You would be amazed at how accurate they can be with the ping triangulations. Check out the Anthony case.

They can actually pin point within a few hundred feet. KC was pinged almost right where Caylee was left.

Since Van Zandt said they only moved into the trailer about 3 weeks ago (news to me), does anyone have or know of a previous address??

(Trying to catch up!!!!) YES! wonder why all the attention fixed on that particular field...?

Yeah, it only took the meter reader 3 or 4 calls to LE before the body was found.

I am not sure Clint is correct on when they moved in.

What's so interesting about this area?

http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/breaking/news-article.aspx?storyid=131452&catid=17

The search for Haleigh Cummings has moved to a grassy area less than ten miles from the home from where she vanished one week ago.
More than sixty law enforcement officers from a number of different agencies are combing a field off Highway 17 south of Haleigh's home.
Locals tell First Coast News the investigators have been in that area for the past two days.

It is somewhat troubling that the search today seems to be exclusive to LE. That normally means thay are looking for evidence of a crime or human remains, and not a lost or missing living child.

Early Sunday morning IIRC
I believe the conclusion was it would be danm near impossible to know exactly what time the trains come through there unless you live there. Sure wish we had us a local sleuth to help us out with stuff like this and Tommy's van and exactly where the door is located on the mobile home (side or back) etc.

I haven't made it to any train discussion that was posted other than today. But after reading this post it made me think of something else according to the train schedule (not including AmTrak which I know nothing about)...When you look at the boards, which is where it will list the conductors and the train schedule (there are several boards to look at, for instance...the conductor board and the engineer board, the extra board, etc but any of them will show the same train schedule for that day) it shows the time the conductor is called and then it shows there start time, which is normally 2 hours after they are called. Start time may be 13:30 but there could be a lot of work to do to the train and they (the crew) may not take off out of the yard for several hours. There have been times that my hubby has been in the yard for 7 hours before ever leaving. I don't know if any of this matters, but just thought I would share it.

Trains also get stopped by signals along their routes for numerous reasons all the time and there would only be records of that through the railroad companies dispatch.

Ok again, not sure if any of that matters but...FWIW, there ya go. :)

We have a focused search in one area for two days...

Ten or less miles away from home....

Civilian searchers not there only LE.

IMO, definitely sounds like a targeted search.

Hmmm....maybe LE got the phone pings back ???

I don't like a 'stolen gun' brought up days later, either.

A field would make more sense than the places to search with the thick underbrush. It would be too difficult to carry a child into those areas while fighting the folliage, imo.

Do you really think, after all this time, they would be?

I was shocked when the news showed the amount of police cars there. If it is truly 10 miles from the house then they have got to have good reason for all this.

is there a link???
