IMO I do not think anyone in this family has the wherewithal to plan a big cover-up. I'm thinking existing was the #1 priority. Life is hard for under educated, and, well--educated folks. It is easy to over analyze things. These are people of simple lifestyle. If one thinks in more simple terms, one may come closer to the truth.

I am proud to come from this simple stock, BTW.

I heart WS!

I heart your post gogrannypop!

Maybe not the wherewithal to plan and cover up, but I'd bet you a dollar they know the area like the back of their hands, and know allll the good hiding spots/disposal areas. I want to be clear, I dont mean JUST the family, but also RSO'S with time on their hands

I think the cinder block is a red herring. I think someone who was on that property that afternoon/ that night found that block in the yard and propped the screen door open to either keep the kids from repeatedly slamming it, to take trash out, or otherwise. My guess is that this door has a spring and you can hear it slam all over the neighborhood. I think Misty was well aware that the back door WAS unlocked (deadbolt) because she unlocked it or someone who was there with her did it for her because supposedly it was so "hard to lock/unlock."
I don't know where Haleigh is and I don't know if Misty knows where Haleigh is or not either. But what I do think is that she is petrified to tell RC that SHE unlocked that door...and forgot to close it. She would deny leaving it unlocked if she did it, because this would be her fault if she did and Haleigh wandered off.
I am really beginning to beleve that Haleigh wandered off. What happened after that I do not know...but if it DID happen that way it would explain a lot.
I thought so at first too, but everybody close to her keeps saying she was afraid of the dark and would never have done that. Unless, of course, she wandered out before nightfall. :waitasec: MOO

Does LE simply release all their info in a on-going case ??

I thought the defense lawyer had to request info, thereby making it public.
From others correcting me, I believe I was wrong in my post. It seems there has to be an arrest first. Sorry! :)

I totally agree. When I lived in the backwoods of GA I knew every inch of the place for miles. I just don't think there was any plannin' and hidin' going on. Maybe Misty does know something. I'll bet as others have posted that she is afraid for her life. Not saying dad is an abuser, just I recognize the tone of voice and her demeanor. MOO MOO (used to live in cow-town, GA)

you might be right. i think a lot of people (not you) assume people are stupid because they use poor grammar or improper english, but that is often not the case. a lot of them are very smart, just not formally educated.

if someone's freedom/life depended on it, that would be a lot of motivation to not get caught. maybe they paid attention to the anthony case and dumped the body far from home and came up with the staged abduction. i don't really think it is THAT compicated. she was asleep the whole time and knows nothing.....that's about as simple of a story as you can get.

i'm not anywhere near convinced that this is what happened. they very well might be totally innocent and a complete stranger is the culprit. i do think that a staged abduction is completely possible, though.

We really don't know if there is "no detail" of what went on from 5:30 to 8 because we don't have the official statements she made to police, only what she said on TV interviews. .

yeeeehaww!! Back atcha! I live in rural N.C. I am fro Philadelphia. I have seen both sides. I married a good ol boy....I love your posts!!
I said in an earlier post that possibly Misty is afraid of
a)her brother/cousin/Ron or all 3
b)afraid of what Ron will do to her brother/cousin
c)Ron might not want to give Misty a place to live anymore when he finds out who might be responsible for this IF it's a member of Misty's family. Her playing house days are over then, and she has to go and live with God knows who. Not much of a choice of roomates here from what I can see...

(Sigh) Sorry about the repeat. I went out earlier and guess I missed someone had already posted it. I was just in chat and thought it was new news that wasn't about blankets, vans, or the other things we had gone over a million times. This case is getting mentally exhausting when we have so little to work with and LE is being so tightlipped about it all.

I wish the reporters would do more digging and find out something!! Where is WFTV and KB?! She likes to get the scoops.

The cousin supposedly visited two weeks prior to this happening.
Donald Sapp moved into the neighborhood two weeks prior.
But the Sapp name ties back to the Griffi's which is the bio mom's family.

Still something odd about the timeline.

I just can't even began to sleuth anything she says because in the police report, she tells them she got up to go get a drink and found the backdoor open, here she says that she got up to go to the bathroom..
I just can't believe anything she says.

Yes in the police report she say she got up to get a drink.
The next thing I have been able to see is Ron says she got up to go to the bathroom, and then she starts saying that and sticks with it.
Ron is also the first one to bring up the notion of her calling him. In LE report, she tells him when he gets home, then she is standing outside or the doorway and tells him when he gets home. Then he says she called him and was telling him when he said why are you calling me? call 911.
I don't know if she ever says that. Does anyone know?

The blanket story is interesting in this; why is her blanket "in the van they took." What kind of auto does Ron have?
They have so few blankets that she has to remove the one being used as a curtain. She doesn't say what she covered jr with. Why are these people so dang poor. He works, doesn't he?

If you go to her pictures she has added an entire album of Haleigh. They are beautiful and touching pictures.

Is it strange to anyone that this myspace profile has been logged in today and yesterday, and NOTHING about Haleigh missing? Some other friends have changed their ststus to say "bring Haleigh home", and "find Haleigh" etc, but NOTHING about her sisters charge being missing. They seem to be close, but no mention of Haleigh here..Just buying pets, and you're a hottie....etc

It seems there might have been something going on that she didn't want to discuss, or maybe it was just the usual stuff not worth mentioning, like fixing dinner, bathing the kids, and whatnot. I'd love to see the interviews with LE! :)

But ----there are MANY things on that profile older people wouldnt want to see. Have you seen it? Amazing. She brags that her and her 17 yr old sis are drunk, her kids are sexy, there is a survey on there with drug references, and on and on and on and on... I just think it is weird that such a supporter of her sister wouldnt have ANYTHING to say about bringing little Haleigh home. NOTHING ZIP NADA

I did look at her profile and I will excuse a lot of behavior from young adults as I have 4 of my own but I have never ever nor would I ever refer to my infant/toddler age children as SEXY I will go even further to add, if my children ever and I do mean ever refer to my infant/toddler grandchildren as sexy on MySpace, my children will be purchasing a new laptop or computer and you can take that to the bank!

oh come on. i bet there are atleast 44 guys within 5 miles that would gladly let her move in with them.

yes, and I have apologized for that oversight a few posts back.

If another sleuther hadn't pointed the album out, I wouldnt have known it was there...... there is nothing on her profile page that would lead me to believe Haleigh was gone, and I found that weird.
