(Bolded by me)
I find it quite interesting that the last time this child almost drowned, it was the father who was supposed to be taking care of her while mom handled the baby.
(This is how my H and I always handled getting the little ones buckled in.)
Maybe the dad resented being asked to get Haleigh and tossed her the canal to "teach mom a lesson" to do it herself, knowing that mom would immediately run looking for the girl.
Polygraphs are great, but they can be unable to detect a lie if the person being tested is comfortable with lieing.

Susan

Bolded by me: I didn't realize that either.

Im not sure as to if LE has spoken yet but i did catch TM. He just said that this was way to close to CA and that they will do what they have to do to find this little girl. Nothing really major news wise just that he will do everything in his power to try to locate her and talked about Caylee.

Thanks much Tonia :D

I do get the feeling that she will be found soon, not real sure about anything else. I just don't get the feeling..FWIW...that she is far away from there.

I am not suspecting the girlfriend yet. That area from what I can ascertain has many sex offenders and pedophiles in the area.

But what I do think is strange is Haleigh was taken shortly before her father was to arrive home from work.

So it makes me think that someone may have been watching the schedule of that family and knew the father worked 12 hour shifts and got off at 3 am every morning.

It makes me wonder if it was someone known to them or someone that lives in their close proximity.

There is no way this child could have placed the cinderblock against the backdoor screen.

imo

I do believe the child was taken between 10pm and 3am.
I don't see the purpose of the g/f having to keep the screen door open with a brick if in fact it was her.
I truly believe the father and g/f are innocent.

Although it could be possible as another ws'er thought,..that the g/f was not in the trailer for a couple of hours.

I keep thinking (and this is MOO) that the g/f had a drink with a neighbour or aquaintance, and perhaps she was slipped a date rape drug? or something to that effect?

It's a silly theory, but it seems possible

thinking they are about to replay tm video....had his face up there...

Really, the g/f passed a lie detector too?

According to the father. That hasn't been confirmed by LE yet though, as far as I know.

I must have missed it because the banner is taken down from the site.

The screen shot of TM that is up now, he looks so broken and worn down...I hope he is taking care of himself.....I wonder if they need any donations of water or drinks/food yet....

I just listened to the 911 call and my take on it was that he was screaming in the background and that she was having a hard time listening to both the operator and Ronald. I could hear him screaming - I heard him scream "How could you let my daughter get stolen?" but I think he also called her a name. A 17yo - under that kind of pressure - her bf calling her names, screaming about killing people and yelling at the 911 lady - I don't think that that excuses it. She should have just been able to answer the questions. BUT Ronald was in the background and I imagine she was scared. I would have been - she probably couldn't have told him to stop screaming so she could talk bc he might have just completely lost it even more. I don't know. I started out thinking she had something to do with it but when I listened to the uncut 911 call - I felt sorry for her and I actually am starting to think someone just walked in and took her. I could be wrong.

From the initial reports, I was skeptical of the girlfriend, but I tend to agree with you after listening to that call. She sounded like a kid in shock, which is precisely what I'd expect from an average 17 year-old.

While I don't believe the father is responsible for Haleigh's disappearance, I find him extremely skeevy. Shacked up with a seventeen year-old he's only known a few months, leaving her with the responsibility of his precious children (free babysitting!), then referring to her as "his dumb b!tch girlfriend" in the police report. Nice guy.

Yep - this is my take too - the dad is a jerk & likely an abuser, but I don't think he is responsible. The 17 year old sounded like a scared kid - not cold or calculating at all. I think some predator took advantage of this situation & took that baby....

Just getting caught up this morning. Apparently the walkway to the back door is a handicap ramp. It would make sense to me that if a handicapped person lived there in the past, they may have had to have something to prop the door open while manuvering (sp?) out the door and down the ramp. The door may also have had a tight tension spring. Seems to me that this had to be someone aware of the fact that maybe the back door would have to be propped open if you were carrying something or in a wheelchair. In putting that together with a stranger coming in - who would carry a cinder block around with them? Would a stranger know about the back door having to be propped open? Whoever carried Haleigh out that back door had a lot of adrenalin going, so I wonder why he would even need to prop the door open. Especially if it were a guy. The GF went to the bathroom. So this intruder had the time to open the back door, prop it open, know exactly where Haleigh was sleeping, and accomplish this all during the time one bathroom trip was made? Something screwy here.

Sounds as if there is a lot of bitterness between the bio Mom and bio Dad. This is already a convoluted mess. At this point, nothing would surprise me. Could Haleigh have been taken as retaliation by someone in the bio Mom's family? It was in one of the interviews that Haleigh was a Daddy's girl. The GF is young, so could she have been jealous of Haleigh? Did the SO 500 feet from the home stalk Haleigh? Was the SO's victim a little girl? So very many questions and not many answers.

This is an ugly case and about to get uglier, IMO. I hope LE also looks at any computers anyone has on both sides of the family.

If both the father and the gf do check out to be cleared in this...the mother and family are next in line. There is so much bitterness between them as we can see.

Does the mother pay him child support for her children? She could have motive aside from the issues surrounding the custody case. Jealousy. Money. Revenge.
