Second, am i the only one who, after watching GA, thinks he is going to be the next John Walsh, only exclusively for missing kids, not crimes? He has the looks, the passion, and probably the desire to be as far away from home as he can. I see a future there, maybe he has found his true calling, no matter what happens with KC. I wish him well, he really seems like the only halfway sane one in the Anthony bunch.

I'd like G a while lot more if he'd cut ties with the KFN crooks.

I agree all possibilities have to be looked at. While we are emotional about Haleigh, are frightened for her, and want her found, I do not let anyone's tears and emotions that are close to the victim influence me. If LE were to let emotions guide them, no crimes would be solved. LE has to be professional and not let the Dad's or the GF's tears influence them. Look at Susan Smith. LE knew something was not right about her even when she was sobbing in front of the cameras.

Some believe it was one of the 44 SO's in the area. While I hate SO's, I am more inclined to be suspicious of the Dad and/or GF. None of us know who is right or wrong right now, and it doesn't matter if we are or not. What matters is Haleigh being found and we are all in agreement on that aspect.

Isn't there something someone can do to change this? HOW is it that SO get a few years for their crimes?????

How can someone go about getting this changed?

With all the friggin' evidence they have that when a SO gets out of jail their crimes become more violent - WHY IS NOTHING BEING DONE TO KEEP SO's in jail for life or putting them to sleep by lethal injection????

ITA Sometimes, people just need a cause, a life style change in order to get through a horrific situation in their life. Maybe this is exactly what he needs. Something to keep him occupied, something to spend his time on. I think he could be very good at this.

Yeah, and he still sounds bitter. Kinda like and Us vs. Them attitude. Like he feels "the public" is against "families of missing children".

That is just not the way it is, George. Your situation was unique.

Maybe this is exactly what he needs, not to be sitting on the psych's couch, but to be there HELPING someone who needs it. Sometimes that can be very powerful therapy. How good could it be for him to stick around Orlando? I am no GA supporter, but if I had to pick one of them I'd side with, it would be GA. He will learn about kidfinders network as he gets more experience, I am sure of that. Trying to have positive thoughts ...........

I agree - they do. George does not need to use this tragedy for his therapy, IMO. This sort of thing is a distraction to LE.

I agree with that and it's sad law abiding free citizens should ever have to fear for their safety. One way to stop this about child predators/pedophiles is the first time they are caught and convicted...whack 'em and stack 'em. Enough is enough.

I hear you Cajun! We had a sleepless daughter the other night as we reviewed with her and my son, they're 12 & 10 - about the pedophiles listed in our area. We unfortunately have to teach them to be vigilant when they're out of our eyesight.

It's heartbreaking to destroy my children's innocence this way. However on the flip side, we're from Canada now residing in Texas and I am so very thankful for the ability to look up and see the registered sex offenders in my zip code area and beyond. Canada still does not have that capability.

I'd rather know than wonder.

And I can't wait for the day for the Supreme court to overturn their decision and decide to place these guys on deathrow irregardless of whether they have murdered the child or left them alive!:furious:

You know what? There is a way to change it, too bad it is illegal for those of us who want it changed.
Then again, what part of prison is scary anymore? They get free meals 3 times a day, clean clothes, no light bills, no rent..medical care...they have better lives in prison than our Veterans do..

freakin' seriously. the entire state of florida is gonna have post traumatic stress disorder before long

i do think something is up with the GF. i have thought this since i first heard the story on NG last night. it just doesn't add up. if someone came in and snatched a child from right next to you, you would hear something, you would wake up. maybe she was drunk? maybe she let someone into the house or gave someone a key at some point and she knows that and isn't telling? i'm not saying she intentionally did something to harm this girl, but i just don't see how what she's said is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth :waitasec:

The thing I find weird is she was awake when Haleigh's Father came home and hadn't called 911 yet. For crying out loud, I'd call 911 for my Dog if I could. I don't care who's child it is, if something is wrong my fingers are dialing 911 FIRST!! I'm not blaming her, but just my opinion.
