-Crystal was not given a polygraph test yet. She knows the father and girlfriend were given polygraphs, but knows nothing else about it.

-Crystal has had substance abuse problems in the past, which is why she didn't have full custody.

-Crystal got a call at 3:49am from Ronald saying Haleigh was missing.

-The grandmother (Marie Griffis) thinks that the 17 year old had something to do with this.

-A few years ago, Ronald wasn't watching Haleigh while at his mothers house and she almost drowned in the canal. Crystal jumped in and pulled her out.

-According to Crystal, Haleigh is scared of the dark and would've never went outside that night.

-LE states girlfriends stories are inconsistent.

Thank you. :blowkiss:
Gma seems hell bent to point the finger at GF every chance she gets...

In reference to the incident where Haleigh was found face down in creek, Crystal stated that she was putting diaper bag in the car, and she asked Ronald to go get Haleigh, she went in the house to get some more baby stuff, and asked Ronald where Haleigh was says Ronald cursed at her, and she saw Haleigh face down in the creek and went in and got her.

Shep told the mother " I know the father got custody because you had some substance abuse issues of your own in the past" then he quickly changed the subject.

Crystal says she think someone took the child. Shep asked how she knew. Crystal said because she got a call at 3:49 am. Shep said, so why does that make you think she was missing, instead of just wandering off? Crystal said my daugther would not to do that.

The grandmother (Maternal) said that if the sheriff said the door was no broken into, and Ronald says the door was lock, someone must have either had a key or unlocked it from the inside. Shep said "It sounds like you're pointing to the 17 year old girl" the mother said "either her, or a family member with a key. Someone close."

All paraphrased

Or a previous tenant with a key? The landlord? Groundskeeper?

I thought the dad originally said they didnt use the back door. If that is the case you wouldnt think to go check and make sure it was locked everynight. Makes me wonder if someone had been in the house unlocked it and came back later to take Haleigh.

Thank you. :blowkiss:

You're welcome :)

And, you're right. In my opinion, the grandmother is clearly upset that this girlfriend was left in the care of Haleigh and her other grandchild, and is using her anger to pinpoint the girlfriend every chance she gets because of it.

Misty's father seems to be a contractor with his own company. According to online directories, the family has lived in Michigan, Colorado, Tennessee, and Florida.

Wow...they moved around!

Thank you!

freakin' seriously. the entire state of florida is gonna have post traumatic stress disorder before long

i do think something is up with the GF. i have thought this since i first heard the story on NG last night. it just doesn't add up. if someone came in and snatched a child from right next to you, you would hear something, you would wake up. maybe she was drunk? maybe she let someone into the house or gave someone a key at some point and she knows that and isn't telling? i'm not saying she intentionally did something to harm this girl, but i just don't see how what she's said is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth :waitasec:

I'm not willing to let anyone off the hook just yet, but I will say this:
We know they smoke dope. This alone can make someone sleep like a log.
She's 17. When I was 17, there could have been a nuclear holocaust and I would have slept through it. Once I had my oldest DD, all that changed.
Just sayin'. :)

No link to a 4pm presser yet. But I did find this. Not sure if it will be televised online:

Leaving your door unlocked does not give someone the right to walk in your home, take your child or even harm you. We need to protect oursleves at all times correct. But don't give the criminals any justfication. I was under 25 when I had my 3rd child. To each their own. I know a few people in there 30's that dont have any of their children in their own home they have been taken by CPS. Lack of responsibility is the issue NOT age.

I pray this little sweetie is found safe and sound.

thanks for addressing

Who was the babysitter for this baby before the G/F came along?? I know everyone is tired of me asking, but dang..:waitasec:

Seems like a reporter would have asked this by now...certainly we can't be the only ones wondering about this. I think it's very relevant...

I am also of the mindset that the RSO's should be wearing an ankle tracking device. Especially the ones with a violent/predatory conviction. What is wrong with people? Have we gone so PC that we can't even protect our kids from these animals for fear of violating their civil rights? Sheesh
