since the one juror came in a shirt and tie, i am wondering if they had a tentative verdict last night, but after sleeping on it, one or several "waffled". if this jury is hung, i think the people hanging it will be those who do NOT want to convict. JMO.

I'm with you Izzy -- I'm thinking a hung jury is entirely possible at this point --- they've been out a long time.

2-3 Days for a death penalty trial is not long at all.

These people are deciding whether or not to allow someone to live or sentence him to die. It is a difficult decision. I'm sure they want to cross their t's and dot their i's, just for their own conscious' sake.

I'll bet they'll come back on Monday with a verdict.

:woohoo:

Guilty.

the judge has said they would deliberate on saturday if there is no friday verdict. since they are sequestered i am thinking it will not go to monday.

at this point i am consoling myself that if there is a hung jury he will remain in prison.

You're right Izzy, I doubt he'd get bond in light of the google searches about emigrating to Brazil --- no news on the verdict yet, wonder if they'll work late tonight like the previous two nights.

  • #109
yes, he is is jail now and i do not see that changing if a hung jury. i think they will not work as late tonite, unless they are close, since the judge has already told them they will have to deliberate on saturday. i am going to keep my eye of CTV's website after CC goes off, just in case they report a verdict.

jury has retired for the night. i guess they will be at it again tomorrow. i will be checking in periodically at CTV's websitel

Thanks Izzy -- I have too much to do tomorrow to check up on jury status, but I'm sure I'll find out eventually!!!

i plan to check on CTV website throughout the day and will post here the minute i hear there is a verdict.

i have just been over to the CTV website (messageboard). the jury is to begin deliberating today (sat.) at 9 AM eastern and they had asked late last night to have about 20 minutes of justin's depo re-played. it is my understanding they want to hear from the time he discovered april's body in the water....after he woke up from being passed out after being shot 4 time with the superficial wounds, to the time he left her on the boardwalk.

Thanks, Izzy.....appreciate the updates. :)

Thanks Izzy -- sounds like they're focusing in on whether April was shot in the water or at the boardwalk. I wonder if this means they've dismissed the computer evidence?

He did NOT pass out, IMO. A doctor on television said that he would not have passed out from the wounds. I wish that the prosecution had called an expert to say something like this!

Lord, I hope that they see Justin as a liar and find him guilty--and I hope that they do it today as I am on vacation next week!

ETA: Do you guys think that there is one (maybe two) holdout(s) that the rest of the jury is trying to convince??

  • #117
I do have a feeling the majority "feel" he is guilty, I think the hold outs if any are those that are not sure it was "proven" he is guilty.

VERDICT!!! tba shortly!
